Brooklyn-based tech-house mainstay Westend joins forces with Miami-born duo Twin Diplomacy for “Sensational,” a high-energy new single out now via Westend’s Trace Amounts label.
Built for dark dancefloors and late-night warehouse sessions, “Sensational” wastes little time establishing its intensity. Dissonant builds create tension before dropping into quirky, tech-heavy breaks that deliberately push the production outside the expected. A sultry vocal topline floats above plunging basslines and punchy percussion, while unpredictable transitions keep the track locked into peak-time territory.
The collaboration also represents the growing role Westend is playing in developing the next generation of house producers. Beyond his own music, the artist has expanded Trace Amounts into a platform for emerging talent while continuing to build Kick & Bass, his online community and educational platform.
Westend first crossed paths with Twin Diplomacy while touring alongside itsmurph, quickly recognizing the twin brothers’ talent and work ethic. The connection eventually led to the duo joining Kick & Bass as guest coaches, creating a natural foundation for their first collaboration.
“Twin Diplomacy and I first linked up over coffee back when we were both out on the itsmurph tour,” Westend explains. “From the jump I could tell these guys had something special, real talent and a real work ethic to match. We ended up playing a few shows together on that run and it was clear pretty quickly that a collab was inevitable.”
He adds, “I’ve always made it a point to work with the next generation of talent coming up in this industry, and Twin Diplomacy are exactly the kind of artists I believe in. Excited for everyone to finally hear what we built.”
For Twin Diplomacy, the goal was straightforward: create a record designed to take the dancefloor somewhere darker and more energetic.
“This song was created to drive the dance floor into a dark and energetic space,” the duo says. “It is for the late nights, warehouse raves, and everything in between.”
Since emerging in 2016, Westend has established himself as a prominent force within modern house and tech house. His catalog includes collaborations with John Summit, HUGEL, ACRAZE, and SIDEPIECE, alongside releases through Toolroom, Catch & Release, Solotoko, Dirtybird, and other leading dance labels.
“Sensational” arrives during a particularly active 2026 for Westend, following performances at Lollapalooza, Day Trip, Electric Forest, and Elements Festival. He has also continued his run of new music with Knicks-inspired single “Feels Better” and his return to Experts Only with “The Ceiling.”
Meanwhile, Twin Diplomacy—the Miami-based twin brothers Marius Bell and Darius Bell—have quickly developed a recognizable sound that balances melodic house with tech-house drive. Their growing catalog includes collaborations with itsmurph, Ship Wrek, and NIIKO X SWAE, with releases through Confession, IN / ROTATION, and Armada Music.
The duo will continue building momentum this fall with their Mirage Tour, which includes appearances at Metamorphosis Festival, Same Same But Different, Haunted Fest, and more.
With “Sensational,” Westend and Twin Diplomacy combine dark club energy, unpredictable production, and a shared commitment to pushing house music forward. The result is a peak-time record designed for the kind of dancefloors where the night is only getting started.
“Sensational” is out now on Trace Amounts and available across all major streaming platforms.
