Can you feel it? Aren’t you even just a little bit curious?
Curiosity Music Festival has stayed true to it’s name and has kept me oh so curious! Taking place July 29th-30th at it’s new home just outside of Princeton, B.C, Canada at the stunning Snug Lake Amphitheatre. I can’t wait to discover the mysteries in store for us.
Festival coordinators kept us guessing, with the full lineup being released mere weeks before the gates open. Appearing on the lineup are some heavy hitting headliners including the saints of heavy bass and angelic melodies, Dimond Saints, The Widdler who brings chilled reggae dubs, blue mood atmospheres and menacing throbs of bass and percussion, to another powerful duo JVMPKICKS (Stylust Beats & Shinji) who carve the path of screw house & lean bass.
Organizers have promised some massive stage takeovers by the eminent houses of Westwood Recordings, Sleeveless Records, Deep Dark & Dangerous, Apex Live, and the Beatlab. A huge array of local supporting talent are there to slay the stages all day and all night. With three different stages, a multitude of genres, workshops, artists, vendors, and dancers–you won’t have trouble finding your vibe with your tribe.
This being a more intimate festival, I can’t wait to create a sense of community with fellow festival-goers. It will be my third year attending Curiosity, and I’ve watched the festival grow from being a small gathering in the sand dunes of the Okanagan Valley with just two hand built stages made from the surrounding trees, to this full blown production with top international artists, three stages, and a new venue with 160 acres of beautiful rolling hills to explore! Though I will miss frolicking down those sandy hills (I literally still have sand in my combat boots from last year!), I am blessed that I have the pleasure to witness this festival blossom into it’s new entity.
