Los Angeles-based house producers Kyle Walker and Nate Katz join forces with Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Benni Ola on “10%,” a vocal-driven house single released through Factory 93 Records. Built around buoyant basslines, crisp percussion, and vintage synth chords, the track pairs underground club production with a commanding vocal performance, delivering a groove made for late-night dancefloors.
Framed as a tithe to the house music faithful, “10%” brings together the producers’ rhythmic approach and Ola’s versatility as a vocalist and songwriter. His husky delivery anchors the track, moving between sharp verses and catchy hooks while the production maintains a steady, infectious pulse. The result is a collaboration that balances the energy of contemporary house with the character of classic club sounds.
According to Nate Katz, the track came together quickly during a studio session after the producers met Ola for the first time. As Walker and Katz worked on the song’s middle eight, Ola began experimenting with lyrics, and the chemistry became clear once he recorded the section.
“This tune came together super quickly. We met Benni at the studio that day and just hit it off straight away. Kyle and I were working on the middle eight, and Benni started messing around with some lyrics. As soon as he recorded that section, we all looked at each other and knew we had something,” Katz explains.
For Walker, the release adds another chapter to a career built on deep grooves, infectious rhythms, and gritty underground textures. Born and raised in California, he has established himself within the modern house scene while running his own label, Dub or Die. His music has also appeared on respected imprints including PIV, Forever Days, and HOME//GRXWN. Beyond the studio, Walker has performed at major events such as EDC Las Vegas, Arc Music Festival, and Nocturnal Wonderland.
His recent work with Katz includes the three-track “Cowboy Killer” EP, released in March. The EP’s title track has accumulated 253,400 streams, adding to the duo’s growing catalog of groove-focused house music. Walker has also received support from established artists including Disclosure, Prunk, Jamie Jones, Chloe Caillet, Skream, and SG Lewis.
Katz has been building his own momentum with a sound that combines groove-driven house, UK-influenced rhythms, and club-ready production. His releases span labels such as HOME//GRXWN, PIV, Range., Dansu Discs, and Higher Ground. He has also earned support from BBC Radio 1 presenters Sarah Story, Danny Howard, and Pete Tong.
A recent collaboration with Ranger Trucco and Walker, “The Bridge,” has generated 1.2 million streams since July, further demonstrating the producers’ growing reach. Katz has continued to bring his music to audiences through performances at Knockdown Center, Spotlight, and a sold-out night at Sound Nightclub alongside Julian Fijma.
Meanwhile, Benni Ola brings a broad musical background to the collaboration. Working across poetry, rap, singing, songwriting, and DJing, he draws inspiration from R&B, alternative music, hip-hop, soul, and electronic sounds. His previous releases alongside artists including Odd Mob, Gaskin, Walker & Royce, J. Worra, and What So Not highlight his ability to move between different corners of contemporary dance music.
The release of “10%” arrives as Walker prepares for upcoming appearances at The Circle OC and Open Air Phoenix, following recent performances at Public Works, Uva Uva, Knockdown Center, Green Room, The Rabbit Hole, PKL Boston, Floyd Miami, Elsewhere, Spotlight, and Pikes Ibiza.
With “10%,” Walker, Katz, and Ola turn an instant studio connection into a polished house collaboration centered on rhythm, vocal character, and dancefloor momentum. The single also reinforces Factory 93 Records’ place in the underground house landscape, bringing together artists whose different strengths meet naturally in a track built to keep the groove moving.
