Belgian electronic music producer and DJ Ghost Jr. has made his debut on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records with “2 Phones,” released September 25, 2026. Blending melodic pop vocals with driving techno percussion and retro electronic influences, the single showcases the rising artist’s ability to connect catchy songwriting with high-energy club production. The release also sets the stage for an upcoming EP expected in December.

“2 Phones” opens with atmospheric, arpeggiated synthesizers layered beneath polished, emotive vocals, initially suggesting a synthwave-inspired direction. As the track develops, however, its melodic foundation gives way to harder, techno-inflected percussion. The contrast between infectious vocal hooks, club-focused synths, and relentless rhythms creates a track designed to move between radio-friendly appeal and late-night dancefloor intensity.

The single balances accessible pop elements with a tougher electronic edge, making it a natural fit for listeners drawn to the darker sounds of Gesaffelstein, Perturbator, and Carpenter Brut. Rather than relying on a single genre, Ghost Jr. draws from Eurodance, trance, and techno to create a sound that pairs nostalgic influences with contemporary club energy.

For Ghost Jr., “2 Phones” also carries a story beneath its high-impact production. The track explores the pressure of managing competing demands, pursuing something better, and trying to keep up with a world that never seems to stop calling.

“2 Phones isn’t about me, it’s about a feeling a lot of people carry: that pressure of juggling more than you can hold, chasing something better while the world keeps ringing at you. I wanted to write it from the outside looking in, like a short film in a verse. The energy hits first. The story reveals itself after,” Ghost Jr. explains.

Born in Brasschaat, Belgium, and now based in Valencia, Spain, Ghost Jr. grew up surrounded by electronic music through his father, DJ Ghost. Known for influential tracks including The Moon’s “Blow Up the Speakers,” Armani & Ghost’s “Airport,” Cherry Moon Trax’s “Needle Destruction,” and Q-ic & Ghost’s “Desire Go Higher,” his father helped establish a musical legacy that would shape the next generation.

Building on that background, Ghost Jr. began producing music in his bedroom before bringing his sound to dancefloors across Europe. His influences include Pegassi, Marlon Hoffstadt, Dimitri Vegas, and Funk Tribu, artists whose approaches to electronic music reflect the blend of club intensity and melodic character that runs through his own productions.

His live experience includes appearances at major Belgian festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ostend Beach Festival, and Fantasia Festival. He also performed alongside his father during a Tomorrowland Cherry Moon Legends set, connecting his emerging career with the Belgian electronic music scene that helped inspire it.

With more than 300,000 streams and a new release on Dim Mak Records, Ghost Jr. is reaching an important milestone in his development as an artist. “2 Phones” introduces a sound that balances nostalgia, emotional storytelling, and modern dancefloor production while building anticipation for his December EP.

As he continues to develop his place within the European electronic music scene, Ghost Jr. is turning his early influences into a distinct direction of his own. “2 Phones” is available now via Dim Mak Records.
