Experimental composer, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Eartheater returns with her deeply personal new album, Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message, available now. Produced primarily by Eartheater (Alexandra Drewchin) alongside David Sitek, the album blends intimate storytelling with expansive electronic production, marking one of the artist’s most emotionally revealing projects to date.
The 11-track collection examines pregnancy, motherhood, and transformation through Eartheater’s signature blend of experimental electronics, art-pop, and organic instrumentation. The closing track, “Nova,” was co-produced by Nosaj Thing and Michael Andrews, while acclaimed French artist Oklou appears as the album’s sole featured guest.
Created shortly after the birth of her now 10-month-old daughter, Heavenly Body captures the immediacy of a life-changing experience. Rather than reflecting on motherhood from a distance, the album embraces its emotional highs, uncertainties, and everyday realities, from doctor visits and birth preparations to the profound physical and emotional transformation that accompanies bringing new life into the world.
Speaking about the creative process, Eartheater explains:
“It is very much born from the throes and blisses of becoming a mother. Some music can wait to come out and it will make sense whenever it does. This music had to come out immediately.”
That urgency fuels an album that feels remarkably spontaneous while maintaining the intricate sound design that has become synonymous with Eartheater’s work. Across its runtime, listeners are guided through shimmering electronic textures, dancefloor-ready rhythms, ambient passages, and soaring art-pop arrangements, all anchored by her ethereal vocal delivery.
Known for continually pushing the boundaries between experimental music and accessible songwriting, Eartheater has spent the past decade building one of electronic music’s most adventurous catalogs. Her ability to merge acoustic instrumentation with futuristic production has led to collaborations with artists including FKA twigs, Sega Bodega, Shygirl, and Alarm Will Sound, while her music has also appeared in runway presentations for Chanel, Dior, Mugler, and Proenza Schouler.
The new release follows a milestone year that saw Eartheater celebrate the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed debut albums Metalepsis and RIP Chrysalis, reaffirming her lasting influence within experimental electronic music.

To support the album, Eartheater begins a series of headline performances with shows in Los Angeles before returning to her hometown of New York City. She will then head overseas this August for performances across London, Paris, and Berlin, bringing her immersive live show to audiences throughout Europe.
With Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message, Eartheater delivers one of her most vulnerable and compelling works to date, transforming the deeply personal experience of motherhood into a cinematic, emotionally rich collection that expands the boundaries of experimental electronic music while remaining profoundly human.
