Jacques Greene is continuing the rollout of his forthcoming album jg with “Everyone,” a new collaboration featuring Los Angeles artist SEES0000. Out now via LUCKYME®, the single leans into UKG-influenced rhythms, warm synths, gritty sound design, and delicate vocals that Greene reshapes into a tightly controlled club record.
At the center of “Everyone” is the contrast between its textured production and SEES0000’s wispy vocal delivery. Greene takes those airy vocals and cuts them into the track’s rhythmic framework, creating a record that feels both intimate and built for movement. It is another example of the Montreal-born producer finding emotional detail inside club-focused production.
The collaboration also reflects the personal connections behind jg. Rather than simply assembling a collection of guest appearances, Greene has described the album’s collaborations as extensions of relationships within his creative orbit.
“The track with Noah [SEES0000] is here because I love it, but also because we walked from his studio to get Sonoran tacos and talked about life,” Jacques says.
That small moment says plenty about the spirit behind the forthcoming album. While jg is being positioned as Greene’s first record built unapologetically for the dancefloor, the music continues to draw from the personal experiences and relationships that have shaped his work.
“Everyone” arrives during an especially active period for Greene, following the premiere of his debut film score created with Nosaj Thing as Verses GT at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The Color of the Sun (Japanese: 太陽ぬ色), written and directed by Xavier Tera, went on to receive the FIPRESCI International Critics Award at this year’s festival.
Greene has also recently revisited the work of Arlo Parks, delivering an official remix of “Heaven,” taken from her acclaimed album Ambiguous Desire, released earlier this year.
The new single follows “Presence,” “Closer” featuring DJ BORING, and “What You Say” featuring umru, each offering another glimpse into the sound and direction of jg. Together, the releases point toward an album that puts Greene’s connection with the dancefloor front and center while retaining the emotional sensitivity that has long been part of his production style.
For more than 15 years, Jacques Greene has developed a distinctive approach to dance music. Since his breakthrough track “Another Girl,” he has released a series of EPs, singles, and two full-length albums, including 2017’s Feel Infinite and 2019’s Dawn Chorus. Across those releases, Greene has consistently brought a sense of vulnerability and poignancy to club music, balancing detailed electronic production with an unmistakably human quality.
His work has never been confined to his own catalog. Greene has explored the relationship between club music and other creative worlds through collaborations such as “Fold” with Bonobo, remixes for Radiohead, production work for Jessy Lanza and Tinashe, and touring with The xx.
That willingness to move between different musical environments also informed Verses GT, his collaboration with Nosaj Thing. The project centered on the idea of “betting on headspace,” creating music where tumbling drums disappear beneath layers of haze and stuttering sequences, resembling the fragmented memory of a club record.
With “Everyone,” Greene returns squarely to the dancefloor. The single’s UKG-inspired pulse, warm melodic core, and carefully manipulated vocals add another piece to the developing picture of jg, an album that promises to bring together the club instincts Greene has spent years refining with a more direct and focused approach.
