What The Festival is an annual three-day music, art, film and interactive festival held 90 miles east of Portland, Oregon taking place during the Summer Solstice weekend of June 16th-19th, 2017.

The festival provides the perfect getaway, by offering attendees a full-sensory experience with more than 90 electronic music DJ’s and producers from around the globe performing on 8 stages of Funktion-One sound, along with the largest splash pool in N. This year’s What the Festival is upon us in 9 days…I’m so excited!!…I’ve decided to spend a little bit of time reviewing some of the artist that are performing at What the Festival. Though there are many more artists I will be seeing this year, these are the that have me giddy…
Below I have put together a list of the artists that have caught my ears. I hope you enjoy the list as much as I do!

10 What The Festival Essentials for 2017

Big Wild

Jackson Stell otherwise known as Big Wild has the ability to bring out all the feels when he drops his massive cinematic and spacious sound. He will send shivers down my spine when I get to experience him live for the first time. With an eclectic live show consisting of a hybrid drum set, a keyboard, and whistling, Big Wild has built a passionate following spanning all types of music lovers. Big Wild embarks on his own nationwide Invincible Tour this spring to showcase his new EP and give fans the next incarnation of his unique live experience. I can’t wait but I may have to cut his set a little short to run over to ReZZ!
WTF Stage: Saturday June 17th 9:15 PM – 10:15 PM

Mr. Moo

Mr. Moo hails from the forested hills of the Pacific NW.
I wanted to research some of the local acts from Oregon as I reside in Eugene, OR. My research has uncovered some pretty amazing talent…One of those talents being Mr. Moo. A classically trained violinist since the age of eight, Mr. Moo expanded into music production six years ago, influenced by the vibrant community of amazing musicians, and DJs, and producers that keep the dance floors of Portland poppin’. I actually saw him perform a ways back at an arcade bar in Eugene and was floored by his beautiful sound. Now I’m excited to him with a much larger crowd getting down to his sound.
Shinto A Go Go: Saturday (Sunday) June 17th 1:30 AM – 2:30 AM

Classixx

Classixx ventures into the realm of everything with a sound that makes me feel like the summer is here even in the middle of winter. Tyler Blake and Michael David are childhood friends and started a DJ duo in the suburbs of Los Angeles. The name Classixx came from their liking of classic compilations of different music. The DJ duo is influenced by a plethora of music, ranging from old school R&B to Paul Simon to Kraftwerk. Grab your float toys and get ready to boogie down at the Splash pool on Sunday!!!
Splash Pool: Sunday June 18th 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

See you there!
