New York tech-house standout Westend teams up with Las Vegas-based producer Modapit on “Technophobic,” a high-energy new single out now via Westend’s Trace Amounts label. Blending futuristic synth work with driving percussion and industrial-leaning textures, the collaboration delivers a hard-hitting club track built for peak-time dancefloors.

Drawing inspiration from the futuristic edge of Daft Punk, “Technophobic” brings together Westend’s maximalist production style and Modapit’s darker, industrial influences. The track moves through progressive-tinged builds and shadowy transitions, pairing gritty synths with pounding rhythms. A driving topline anchors the production, balancing retro-futuristic sounds with the kind of energy designed to make an impact in a packed club.

The release arrives during a busy year for Westend, who has continued taking his signature tech-house sound to major stages across the country. His recent festival appearances include Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Day Trip, and Breakaway, alongside his first Las Vegas residency at LIV.

Beyond the stage, Westend has continued developing Trace Amounts as a platform for his evolving sound. Recent releases include “Feels Better,” inspired by the New York Knicks, and “Sensational,” a collaboration with Twin Diplomacy. He also returned to Experts Only with “The Ceiling,” further expanding his output across the electronic music scene.

Next month, Westend will reach another career milestone with his biggest headline show to date at Cermak Hall in Chicago on November 13. The performance marks a significant moment in a year of continued growth, both as a touring artist and through the development of Trace Amounts.

With “Technophobic,” Westend and Modapit bring their contrasting production approaches together for a track that leans into the heavier, more futuristic side of tech house. The collaboration adds another release to Westend’s expanding catalog while introducing a new pairing built around industrial textures, progressive tension, and dancefloor-focused energy.

“Technophobic” is available now on all major streaming platforms via Trace Amounts.
