Brazilian-born, Los Angeles-based producer WELKER and New York native NO STATIC team up for “Hot Girl Walk,” their new single on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION. Bringing together the sleek textures of indie dance and the driving punch of tech house, the collaboration delivers a playful, confident track built to make an impression on the dancefloor.
At the center of “Hot Girl Walk” is an infectious female rap vocal that immediately establishes the track’s attitude. Booming plucks, fizzy hollow synths, and buzzing sawtooth call-and-response textures weave through the production, creating a groove that sits comfortably between indie dance and tech house. The result is polished without losing its sense of personality, giving the track enough energy for a peak-time moment while maintaining the swagger that defines its identity.
For WELKER, that versatility was part of the appeal from the beginning.
“‘Hot Girl Walk’ started from the idea of making something sexy, catchy, heavy, and full of groove. It’s one of those tracks that can fit into different moments of a set – it can work as a transition into something heavier, but it can also be strong enough to open or close a set. What I really like about it is how original it feels, sitting right in the middle of my sound and NO STATIC’s style.” — WELKER
NO STATIC sees the collaboration as a natural meeting point between the two genres.
“‘Hot Girl Walk’ is the perfect blend of tech house and indie dance, with a confident female vocal that delivers a unique moment on both the dance floor and the main stage.” — NO STATIC
The single arrives as both producers continue building momentum within their respective corners of the electronic scene. For WELKER, the release follows a decade spent studying the structure of commercial music before redirecting that experience toward the underground. That evolution has helped establish him as a rising name across indie dance, house, and techno.
His recent run has been particularly strong, with his last three tracks reaching the Top 3 of Beatport’s charts. His track “Ice In My Eyes” spent more than a month at No. 1 on Beatport’s Indie Dance chart, while collaborations with TOBEHONEST, HILLS, and Broken Hill have further expanded his catalog.
His music has also received support from Max Styler, Solomun, Vintage Culture, Massano, Innellea, and Adam Ten. Currently on his Fall Tour, WELKER has recent and upcoming stops including Boo! Seattle, Double Dragon, LowBrau, Rum Runners London, Zebbies, Azure, Aloft, Anejo, AVA, Mosaic, Studio 60 Miami, and Seismic Dance Event 9.0.
Meanwhile, NO STATIC has been carving out his own space in house music since 2022, moving between tech house and indie dance. His relationship with IN / ROTATION began earlier this year when he made his label debut alongside Dansyn with “Pressure.”
The track has accumulated more than 590,600 streams while earning radio support from SLAM!, FG Dance, CJSR, Beat 100.9FM, EDM Sessions, and BPM Electro. “Pressure” has also received support from CID, ACRAZE, EdiP, and Matroda, adding to a growing list of artists backing his music.
That support extends throughout NO STATIC’s catalog, with tracks receiving plays from Max Styler, Vintage Culture, Solomun, FISHER, John Summit, Diplo, Adam Ten, and Mau P. His track “Blow Your Mind” has surpassed 1.4 million streams, while “Genie” has reached 2.6 million.
His current Summer / Fall Tour includes appearances at Experts Only New York, Experts Only Basecamp at the Gorge, Exchange LA, Arlo Brooklyn, Effex Rooftop, Sunbar Patio, Ciel Capitol Hill, and Tetto Rooftop.
With “Hot Girl Walk,” the two producers bring those growing trajectories together for a collaboration that feels equally comfortable in an underground club or on a larger festival stage. Its combination of infectious vocals, sharp synth work, and a relentless groove gives the track a clear sense of purpose: command attention, keep people moving, and leave plenty of room for the next big moment in the set.
