GUDFELLA And Yamagucci Team Up With Karen Harding On Seductive Indie Dance Single ‘Ride’

GUDFELLA and underground house standout Yamagucci join forces on “Ride,” a sleek new collaboration arriving via Insomniac Records. Featuring the unmistakable vocals of London-based multiplatinum singer Karen Harding, the track blends indie dance textures with a seductive club energy, balancing catchy songwriting with the darker, more experimental edge of the underground.

Born in the Philippines and now based in Los Angeles, GUDFELLA has quickly established himself within the modern house scene through a sound that connects broad melodic appeal with dancefloor momentum. His productions move comfortably between clubs, afterhours, open-air festivals, and radio, with polished grooves and atmospheric details giving his music an accessible but distinctive character.

Yamagucci, an Israeli-Japanese producer, brings a similarly eclectic approach to the collaboration. Known for connecting organic instrumentation and electronic production, his work incorporates analog textures, field recordings, live percussion, and global influences. That multicultural perspective has helped position him as an increasingly notable name within the contemporary house and indie dance landscape.

On “Ride,” Harding delivers a sultry performance built around soft, playful hooks and flirtatious vocal phrasing. Her vocals glide through a shadowy, hypnotic production where tight percussion, elastic basslines, whistle accents, metallic synths, and restless electronic details create a sense of constant movement. The result is a track that feels both polished and slightly unpredictable, with a psychedelic edge tucked beneath its seductive surface.

The collaboration also reflects the complementary strengths of its three contributors. GUDFELLA has previously worked with James Poole, Yung Bae, and Hayley May, while his seven-track debut project, galleria, arrived last year. His recent single “Morning Coffee” also earned support from a broad collection of tastemakers and DJs, including Adam Ten, Max Styler, Vintage Culture, BLOND:ISH, Mita Gami, Rafael, Brunello, Carlita, and SG Lewis.

The new release arrives as GUDFELLA continues his 29-plus-date Gudfella 2026 World Tour, which includes appearances at Nocturnal Wonderland, EDC Thailand, Day Trip in the Park, Piknik Elektronik, The Terrace, Club Space, Hï Ibiza, Hulaween, North Coast, and Defected Drumsheds.

For Yamagucci, “Ride” adds another chapter to a rapidly expanding catalog that includes collaborations and releases alongside Adam Ten, Dor Danino, Alt Control, DARCO 09, and OMRI. His music has appeared on acclaimed imprints associated with artists including Gorgon City, Solomun, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, and Damian Lazarus. His previous single “What The F*** Is That,” released through Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION, has surpassed 1.72 million streams.

His upcoming schedule includes performances at Moga Essaouira and Bloom Fest, as well as appearances at Club Space alongside BLOND:ISH, Sunday Sunset Ritual, and Reverb at Kaufleuten with Vintage Culture. He is also set to support Channel Tres on The Enigma Tour at The Van Buren and The Sound.

According to GUDFELLA, the track originated during a two-week writing trip in London, where he was introduced to the vocal from Belfort and Karen Harding.

“This song was a part of the music I made during the 2 weeks I spent in London for a writing trip. I was shown the vocal by Belfort and Karen Harding and fell in love immediately. It was catchy enough to be a great hook but also carried an air of ‘weirdness’ to it. I brought the idea to Yamagucci, who added the lead ‘metallic’ sounding synth line. I love how we were able to make something so catchy & hooky while keeping it strange enough to separate from the pack.”

For Yamagucci, the collaboration came together with little resistance, allowing the track’s groove and energy to develop naturally.

“‘Ride’ came together super naturally in the studio. We wanted to make something fun, groovy and full of energy that just feels good on the dance floor. The whole track came together really fast and felt right from the start.”

Harding saw the record as an opportunity to explore a more rhythmic and sensual side of her songwriting.

“This is such a fun record, and I loved reaching to a different place than where I usually write. Wanted to do something that was rhythmic and sexy, that flowed and had some energy to it. It’s about not thinking about where the night’s going to end, about just going for the fun, see where it leads.”

With its combination of seductive vocals, elastic basslines, metallic synth work, and club-focused percussion, “Ride” lands at the intersection of indie dance, house, and contemporary underground club music. GUDFELLA, Yamagucci, and Karen Harding turn that meeting point into a track that is deliberately catchy without losing its stranger, more psychedelic instincts.
