Longtime collaborators Who Else and Zagitar are bringing their shared vision of melodic electronic music and peak-time club energy to Max Styler’s Nu Moda with their new three-track EP, ‘Voltage.’ The release marks the duo’s debut on the label while adding another chapter to a partnership that has been developing since 2019.
Rather than chasing a single sound across the project, ‘Voltage’ moves between indie tech, genre-bending club production, and melodic textures. The three tracks reflect the different sides of the duo’s production style while maintaining the driving energy that has become central to their work together.
The title track, ‘Voltage,’ immediately establishes that direction. Built as an indie tech cut for festival and club environments, the production runs on a galvanizing current, with highly detailed layers supporting a tough hip-hop vocal. The vocal delivers sleek flows centered around a nonstop grind, giving the track an additional sense of momentum as the production pushes forward.
‘Synthalk’ takes a more experimental turn, combining an alarm-like synth with a deep vocal hook and a rolling groove. The result is a peak-time track that bends genre boundaries without losing its focus on the dancefloor. Closing out the EP, ‘Obsession’ shifts into a more atmospheric space, placing breathy female vocals over a pulsing bassline and bright synth chords.
The collaboration between Who Else and Zagitar stretches well beyond this latest release. The two artists co-founded and run Artnova Records and have built an extensive catalog of co-produced music over the years. Their previous collaborations include the three-track EPs ‘Essence’ and ‘Parallel Pulse,’ while their music has received support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Solomun, Anyma, and Adriatique, among others.
For Who Else, the new EP arrives during an ongoing international run that has seen his music reach some of the electronic scene’s biggest stages. The Buenos Aires-born, Barcelona-based producer has created music that has moved audiences at Ultra, Tomorrowland, Coachella, El Row, and UNVRS, while maintaining a consistent presence on the Beatport charts.
His connection with BBC Radio 1 has also become a notable part of his career, with three appearances on the station, including an introduction from Pete Tong. His remix of Paul Oakenfold also received a response remix from Cassian. Behind the decks, Who Else has shared the booth with Massano, CamelPhat, Hernán Cattaneo, Above & Beyond, and Nick Warren. His recent performances include La Terrrazza, SeaSea Club, GO Beach Club, and Boom Chicago, alongside tour dates across Australia, India, Argentina, and Europe.
Zagitar brings a similarly deep connection to the electronic music world. With more than two decades in the scene, the Argentinian DJ and producer has established himself as a tastemaker within melodic house and indie dance. His music has surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify, supported by a steady audience of 50,000 monthly listeners.
His work has earned support from Solomun, Adriatique, Innellea, Artbat, and Max Styler, while his performance history includes sharing the booth with Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Fideles, Konstantin Sibold, and Max Styler. He has also played at notable venues and events including Ultra Buenos Aires, Pacha Ibiza, and Warung.
That experience helps explain the balance at the center of ‘Voltage.’ The EP is rooted in the emotional qualities of melodic electronic music, but its production is ultimately designed to work in the moment when a dancefloor is at full intensity.
“This release is a special one for us. We wanted to create something that captures the emotion of melodic music while keeping the energy of the dancefloor at its core.” — Who Else
For Zagitar, that balance was also central to the project and its connection to Nu Moda.
“I wanted this EP to capture the energy I feel when I’m playing a peak-time set — driving, emotional, built for the dancefloor. Releasing it through Nu Moda felt right because that’s exactly the world Max has been building with this label.” — Zagitar
With ‘Voltage,’ the two producers continue a creative partnership built over years of shared releases and performances, while introducing that sound to a new label home. The result is an EP that connects their melodic instincts with the intensity of the late-night dancefloor, giving Who Else and Zagitar another opportunity to turn their long-running collaboration into something built for movement.
