Roskilde Festival has revealed the first 18 acts set to perform at its 2027 edition, offering an early look at a lineup that will span generations, genres, and musical styles. The independent, non-profit festival returns just outside Copenhagen from June 26 through July 3, 2027, with Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Caroline Polachek, Ezra Collective, Suki Waterhouse, Lambrini Girls, Patti Smith Quartet, and Underscores among the first names announced.
The 55th edition of Roskilde Festival is expected to feature almost 200 acts across its full music program. The festival will welcome approximately 130,000 participants, including 27,000 volunteers, making it one of Northern Europe’s largest festival gatherings.
At the center of the first announcement is Tame Impala, who will bring their psychedelic and genre-blending sound to the iconic Orange Stage. The performance will be one of only a few European festival appearances for the project in 2027. Over the past two decades, Tame Impala has moved between psychedelic music, alternative rock, euphoric pop, and elements of rave culture while continuing to expand its sound.
“Roskilde Festival is a vibrant mix of sounds and expressions that both reflects the time we live in and offers a glimpse of what lies ahead. With this first announcement, we are outlining the programme with 18 acts representing vastly different sounds and tendencies. There is pop, hyperpop, rock, metal, punk, hip-hop and jazz, and both compelling new voices and major names such as Tame Impala, who are playing only a handful of European festivals this summer,” says Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Head of Music at Roskilde Festival.

The first group of artists also includes several musicians who have used their platforms to engage with issues beyond music. Caroline Polachek will bring her experimental approach to pop to the festival, while Patti Smith Quartet adds more than five decades of rock, poetry, and cultural influence to the lineup.
Kacey Musgraves will also appear, continuing a career that has seen her challenge conventions within country and americana while advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.
“Patti Smith has always been a powerful artistic and activist voice, while Caroline Polachek and Kacey Musgraves are striking examples of artists carrying that tradition forward by actively using their music and the attention surrounding it to make a difference. As an independent, non-profit festival, supporting and highlighting voices like these is important to us – particularly at a time when artistic freedom unfortunately cannot be taken for granted,” says Thomas Sønderby Jepsen.
The announcement also leans heavily into the communal and exploratory side of live music. Jazz group Ezra Collective will bring together jazz, soul, afrobeat, and Cuban rhythms, while Nu Jazz will blend jazz with drum’n’bass, noise, and electronic music.
Electronic music will be represented by G Jones B2B Eprom, while Norwegian hip-hop duo Karpe will make their appearance as part of their final-ever tour. Hyperpop artist Underscores is also set to perform, bringing her DIY approach and combination of electronic and computer-generated sounds to the festival.
The heavier side of the lineup includes Neurosis, Konvent, Drain, and Lambrini Girls, adding metal and punk to an already wide-ranging first announcement. Suki Waterhouse is also among the 18 acts revealed.

Tickets for Roskilde Festival 2027 are now on sale. A full festival ticket covering the entire week costs €355, including fees, while one-day tickets are €205. Two-day tickets cost €300 and allow attendees to select two of the final four festival days.
The festival runs from June 26 to July 3, 2027, and is accessible from central Copenhagen by direct train, with a station located at the festival site. With only the first 18 acts announced and almost 200 artists still expected for the complete music program, Roskilde Festival has plenty more to reveal ahead of its 2027 return.
