Southern California’s electronic music landscape is set to welcome an exciting new destination with the arrival of ORIGIN Los Angeles, a purpose-built music and arts venue opening in Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District in late summer/early fall 2026. Expanding upon the industrial event space at 613 Imperial Street, ORIGIN introduces a fully realized concept designed to host everything from underground club nights and live concerts to immersive art installations, community gatherings, and large-scale cultural events.

Situated in one of Los Angeles’ most vibrant creative neighborhoods, ORIGIN embraces the intersection of music, art, and community. The venue has been intentionally designed to encourage movement between its indoor and outdoor environments, creating an experience that evolves throughout the night rather than remaining confined to a single dance floor. With a spacious main room and expansive open-air area, the venue offers multiple settings tailored specifically for electronic music and cultural programming.

Behind ORIGIN Los Angeles is a team with deep roots in the city’s nightlife scene. Founded by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the visionaries behind influential brands including SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, the duo has spent more than two decades producing some of Los Angeles’ most celebrated dance events. Their portfolio includes acclaimed experiences such as LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT, and Resolutions, all of which have helped shape the city’s contemporary electronic music culture. With ORIGIN, they move beyond event production to establish an independent venue dedicated to fostering long-term artistic and community growth.

Flexibility sits at the heart of the venue’s design. ORIGIN will seamlessly transition between club nights, live performances, promoter collaborations, private events, and large-scale cultural activations. Fridays will spotlight internationally recognized electronic artists alongside emerging talent through carefully curated programming, while Saturdays will alternate between daytime outdoor experiences and late-night house and techno events. Organizers have also confirmed that an initial lineup of artists will be announced in the coming months.

Beyond its weekly schedule, ORIGIN will become the permanent home for quarterly Arts District celebrations, utilizing both its indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate larger community gatherings. This adaptable approach allows the venue to evolve alongside the city’s creative scene while offering a wide variety of experiences throughout the year.

Designed from the ground up as a music-first environment, ORIGIN places exceptional emphasis on sound quality and production. The venue’s striking futuristic aesthetic was created by renowned designer Marc Dizon, whose portfolio includes acclaimed spaces such as Brooklyn Mirage, Output in New York, Hakkasan in Las Vegas, and Sound in Los Angeles. His vision transforms the venue into an immersive environment built to enhance both artist performances and audience experiences.

At the center of the venue’s technical design is a custom analog KV2 Audio sound system, engineered specifically for the space to deliver exceptional clarity, depth, and consistency throughout every level of the venue. From the dance floor to the mezzanine, the system provides an even listening experience, while a dedicated outdoor setup has been optimized to maintain powerful, high-fidelity sound in an open-air environment without compromising the surrounding neighborhood. Every production element has been carefully considered to support artists and elevate live performances.

The venue’s identity has also been shaped by Super Evil Genius Group, the Los Angeles creative agency responsible for branding some of electronic music’s most recognizable properties. Their portfolio includes John Summit’s Experts Only Records, Framework’s Spotlight Hollywood, Wynn Nightlife’s 2024 residency launch, Art Of The Wild Festival, and the grand opening of Tao Beach in Las Vegas. Their involvement underscores ORIGIN’s ambition to become an enduring fixture within the city’s cultural landscape.

More than simply another nightlife venue, ORIGIN Los Angeles aims to establish a permanent home for artists, promoters, and music communities throughout Southern California. Rooted in underground values while delivering a premium experience, the venue is built around authentic programming, exceptional production, and a long-term commitment to nurturing electronic music culture. As Los Angeles continues to evolve as a global destination for dance music, ORIGIN is poised to become one of the city’s defining cultural institutions for years to come.
