THE MAZE, Los Angeles’ premier Halloween event, returns to the city’s Arts District on Saturday, October 31, with Arcade Fire DJ Set featuring Win Butler + Paul Beaubrun joining the lineup. The announcement follows the tragic passing of previously announced artist Kavinsky, whose music and unmistakable creative vision helped shape the sound and aesthetic of a generation.
In tribute to Kavinsky, THE MAZE will feature a special installation, themed areas throughout the event, and unique content celebrating his music, influence, and enduring legacy.
Arcade Fire will join The Blaze, performing live, and Los Angeles house music favorite Claude VonStroke for a full DJ set incorporating live performance and instrumentation. The addition gives attendees a rare opportunity to experience the acclaimed group in a completely different format while complementing the event’s immersive Halloween production.
The 2026 lineup also features Porky b2b Bones, Valou, Araminta, and Oren.
Presented by Los Angeles nightlife innovators SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, the creators of Resolutions NYE-NYD, this year’s THE MAZE expands into its most ambitious edition yet. Following two consecutive sold-out years at Union Station, the event moves to a new, larger location in downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District, transforming the neighborhood into a large-scale indoor and outdoor Halloween block party.
“Kavinsky was an artist we deeply admired, and having him be part of this year’s Maze meant a great deal to all of us,” shares event producer Cyril Bitar of Minimal Effort. “His passing was an enormous loss, and we never wanted to simply move forward without recognizing the place he held in this event. We will honor him through a special installation, themed areas throughout The Maze, and unique content celebrating his music, his singular vision, and the lasting influence he had on electronic music and culture. At the same time, we’re excited to welcome Arcade Fire for a rare DJ set and to bring together music, art, and immersive production for the most ambitious edition of The Maze we’ve ever created.”
For one night, guests will enter a world of music, art, mystery, and exploration. Hidden pathways, roaming live performers, large-scale installations, immersive environments, and unexpected discoveries will transform the Arts District into a surreal Halloween playground where reality and imagination collide.
The event will feature multiple stages and environments, ranging from open-air performances beneath the downtown Los Angeles skyline to intimate late-night moments inside the venue’s state-of-the-art KV2 sound environment. With every area designed to offer something different, attendees can expect a Halloween experience built around discovery and surprise.
With Arcade Fire, The Blaze, Claude VonStroke, and an eclectic supporting lineup joining an immersive production centered around the legacy of Kavinsky, THE MAZE 2026 is shaping up to be one of Los Angeles’ most distinctive Halloween events yet.
