After spending the past year introducing listeners to a series of compelling collaborations, Australian producer and DJ ZUSO brings the journey full circle with the release of his self-titled EP, arriving July 8. The five-track project serves as both a reflection of his artistic evolution and a defining statement of his signature melodic progressive house sound.
Featuring collaborations with Matilda Pearl, Keelan Mak, Maver and Beckah Amani, the EP also introduces its final and previously unheard centerpiece, “Breath,” featuring fellow Australian artist jnr. The track completes the narrative that ZUSO has been carefully building throughout the past year, tying together the emotional themes and sonic identity that define the project.
Built on shimmering synths, delicate melodies, and gradual, uplifting builds, “Breath” showcases ZUSO’s refined approach to melodic electronic music. The production balances introspection with optimism, while jnr.’s warm, expressive vocal performance adds an emotional depth that makes the track one of the producer’s most captivating releases to date.
Reflecting on the song’s creation, ZUSO shared:
“I started writing this song towards the end of 2024, but never quite got around to finishing it, so it sat lost on my laptop for a while. Fast forward to the start of this year and I reopened the project with fresh ears and a fresh perspective. The track came together pretty quickly from there. After going back and forth on whether it needed a vocal, I decided it did, so we reached out to jnr. to see if he’d be keen to jump on it. He loved the idea, and it quickly evolved into what it is today. We’re both really stoked on how this one turned out and can’t wait for you all to hear it. Hope you enjoy it.”
While each of the previously released singles stood confidently on its own, the complete EP reveals a broader creative vision. Together, the five tracks illustrate ZUSO’s ability to weave emotionally resonant songwriting, cinematic production, and thoughtful collaborations into a cohesive listening experience without losing the unmistakable sound that has become his trademark.

Speaking about the project as a whole, ZUSO described the EP as a deeply personal milestone:
“ZUSO isn’t just a collection of songs—it’s a reflection of everything I’ve experienced, learned and felt over the past few years. I was fortunate enough to work with some incredibly talented people along the way, and each collaboration feels like its own unique chapter within this project. I want to thank all of the artists who featured on this EP. It wouldn’t have been possible without them. Thank you for trusting me with your voices, your stories and your creativity.
Producing this EP has really helped me evolve as an artist, and I feel it has set a strong foundation for the next batch of releases I’ve been working on and am excited to share. I hope you all enjoy listening to these songs as much as I enjoyed creating them.”
The self-titled release represents an important step forward for ZUSO, highlighting not only his growth as a producer but also his ability to create meaningful collaborations that elevate each artist involved while maintaining a cohesive artistic identity. Blending progressive house, melodic textures, and emotionally driven songwriting, the EP reflects the maturity of an artist who continues to refine his craft with every release.
With ZUSO, the Australian producer delivers his most complete body of work to date—a collection that celebrates collaboration, personal growth, and the emotional storytelling that has become the foundation of his music. As he looks toward his next chapter, the EP establishes a strong creative blueprint for what’s still to come.
