Mochakk returns to New York City this weekend for a three-day takeover spanning some of the city’s most celebrated cultural spaces. From August 28–30, the widely acclaimed Brazilian electronic music artist will headline three distinct events across New York, bringing together music, skate culture, community, and the creative energy that has become synonymous with his name.
The weekend marks another milestone in Mochakk’s growing presence in one of the world’s most influential music hubs, building on the momentum of his viral New York ice cream truck block party and Tricks & Tracks activation at the Venice Beach skatepark. Both events attracted thousands of fans for spontaneous celebrations that blurred the lines between electronic music and street culture.
This year’s concept expands that spirit into an entire weekend, unfolding across three major events and some of New York City’s most distinctive spaces.
The takeover begins on Friday, August 28, with Tricks & Tracks at one of New York’s most iconic skate spots and a defining landmark in the city’s skateboarding culture. The full event schedule will be revealed tomorrow, with additional details remaining under wraps until Friday.
In partnership with Amazon Music and Twitch, the event will also be livestreamed globally from 4 PM ET via Twitch Music, allowing fans around the world to experience the action. Supported by Oakley and Bose, the event will bring skateboarding, music, and community together in the heart of New York City.
Details surrounding the location will remain secret until the event, with clues being released across Mochakk’s social channels in the lead-up. Fans can also sign up for updates to receive location information ahead of the public announcement.
On Saturday, August 29, the takeover moves to Under the K Bridge, where Mochakk will headline alongside Anastazja and Minx b2b Holographic.
The weekend then concludes on Sunday, August 30, with another headline performance at RUINS at Knockdown Center, which has already sold out during presale.
Born Pedro Maia, Mochakk has emerged as one of Brazil’s defining electronic music exports. He first broke through internationally with “Jealous” on CircoLoco Records before releasing the Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 double EP and earning widespread attention with tracks such as “Da Fonk” featuring Joni.
Four years after its original release, “Da Fonk” returns via Nervous Records on August 28 with an extensive remix package featuring Marco Carola, Confidence Man, Cinthie, DJ Gigola, Classmatic, Solarce Brothers, DJ Fuzil, Bronka, Deekapz, and kLap.
The release will also arrive as a limited-edition three-vinyl set, with copies available for purchase at Mochakk’s New York events throughout the weekend. The reissue offers a new chapter for one of the producer’s signature records while highlighting the continued evolution of his sound.
Alongside his own productions, including his recent reinterpretation of Nina Simone’s “See-Line Woman,” Mochakk has also established MOTRAXX as a platform for emerging Brazilian electronic artists, further strengthening his role in the country’s rapidly expanding dance music scene.

His rise in the United States has been fueled by memorable fan-focused events, including the New York ice cream truck block party, Tricks & Tracks at Venice Beach, and sold-out editions of his Mochakk Calling event series in New York, Miami, and Denver.
That trajectory reached another major milestone at the end of 2025 when Mochakk delivered a 12,000-capacity headline performance on Hollywood Boulevard.
The momentum continued into 2026 with performances across both weekends of Coachella, where Mochakk debuted MOCHAKK THE GAME at the Sahara Stage. Inspired by classic video games, the bespoke production further demonstrated his ability to turn his live performances into immersive experiences that extend beyond a traditional DJ set.
Now, the New York City takeover represents the latest chapter in Mochakk’s evolution. Across three days, the artist will bring together the different sides of his creative world—from intimate fan experiences and street-level activations to large-scale headline performances—while continuing to build his unique connection between electronic music, culture, and community.
