Decadence Arizona couldn’t have been any better…Wait, I take that back…No rain would have been better, but who fucking cares when you have Green Velvet in your life?
It was easy for me to adjust to the weather, being that I live in Oregon for most of the year. It was nice sleeping in a hotel for once. You see, I prefer to camp at a festival; you know stay submerged in the happenings. It was cold in AZ so I am thankful they build hotels.
I don’t write about festivals in the same way as most. I cover a lot of them and normally I would tell you my story…a kind of play by play if you will. But not this time.
Skrillex made his return.
Alison Wonderland was brilliant, Marshmello had seriously dope visuals, but the sets of the weekend for me go to Green Velvet and Eric Prydz. Hands down. Green Velvet got really weird and Eric Prydz (even without his HOLO set up) fucking killed it!
Decadence Arizona stands on its own and the New Years celebration was exactly what I needed to start 2019 in the right way. I fucking danced, and I danced and I danced some more. It was a release after all I had been through in 2018. I let go of anger, and sadness and doubt and I just….fucking… danced. I celebrated with My brother Jon and Sister Jessica and close friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I met an amazing beauty named Alyssa, who shared some pretty awesome moments with me. These people made the whole time more special!
All in all, It was awesome!
Decadence Arizona was for me…special and more so than most festivals I’ve been to this year. Yes, I worked and you can read the interviews with Dr. Fresch and GG Magree, but really I just wanted to share the photos from this dope ass mother fucking festival. Our photographer Josh Andrews murdered it behind the lens, and these are only the first 70 snaps!
