Berlin duo Brutalismus 3000 are keeping the momentum of their acclaimed album Harmony alive with “Drop Your Spirit,” a previously unreleased track recorded during the album sessions. Produced by Theo Zeitner alongside Dylan Brady, the new single offers another glimpse into the duo’s collision of hard-edged electronic production, punk attitude, rave energy, and emotionally charged vocals.
Comprised of producer Theo Zeitner and vocalist Victoria Vassiliki Daldas, Brutalismus 3000 have built a reputation around music that refuses to sit comfortably inside a single genre. “Drop Your Spirit” continues that approach, drawing from the same sessions that produced Harmony while expanding the album’s already restless sonic world.
The release also arrives with the announcement of the duo’s upcoming North American headline tour. Beginning in November, the seven-date run will take Brutalismus 3000 to Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and additional cities, giving North American audiences the chance to experience the duo’s notoriously intense live production in a headline setting.
The tour follows a packed festival season that has seen Brutalismus 3000 bring their high-impact performance to major stages around the world. Their recent appearances include HARD Festival in Los Angeles, Osheaga in Montreal, Roskilde in Denmark, and Boomtown in Winchester. Upcoming performances include Factory Town in Miami, ARC Festival in Chicago, and CBGB Festival in New York City, where they are set to perform alongside The Prodigy, Sextile, and Lip Critic.
Harmony marked another step forward for Brutalismus 3000, with the duo pushing their cross-continental influences into a more refined and distinctive form. Zeitner handled the album’s production with additional co-production from Boys Noize and Dylan Brady, while guest appearances from Anya Taylor-Joy and Underworld added further dimension to its sprawling electronic palette.
The album has earned praise from DAZED, Hypebeast, Resident Advisor, Stereogum, and Pitchfork, with the latter highlighting how Harmony balances its more chaotic moments with a strong melodic foundation. That contrast has become one of the duo’s defining strengths: beneath the distortion, aggression, and unpredictable rhythmic shifts, there is a clear instinct for hooks and atmosphere.
The visual world surrounding Harmony has been just as ambitious. Brutalismus 3000 developed a trilogy of music videos for “I Bring My Gun To The Function” with Boys Noize, “Gore Louvre,” and “Tiesto Skin 1,” all created in collaboration with visual artist Mau Morgo, whose work has included projects with Balenciaga, Rosalía, FKA twigs, and Madonna.
Rather than presenting a conventional beginning-to-end narrative, the trilogy was designed as a nonlinear story. Each video can be watched independently, in sequence, or even backward, with the viewing order changing how the narrative is interpreted. The fractured structure mirrors the ideas explored throughout Harmony, where unstable realities, complicated relationships, and the desire for connection continually collide.
With “Drop Your Spirit,” Brutalismus 3000 open another door into that world while preparing to take their live experience deeper into North America. Following an international run that has established them as one of electronic music’s most unpredictable emerging acts, the duo are showing no signs of slowing down.
