Aus Music and fabric Records are celebrating more than 15 years of creative collaboration with Room 02, a new five-track various artists EP bringing together established names and emerging talent from across the underground electronic music scene. Arriving October 30, the release reflects the diverse sounds that have shaped both labels and the longstanding relationship between Aus Music and fabric.

For more than 15 years, Aus Music held a quarterly residency in fabric’s Room 2, turning the space into an important platform for developing artists and exploring new directions across house, UK garage, and bass music. The series became known for memorable milestones, including Joy Orbison’s fabric debut and the first-ever CLOSE Live performance from Aus Music founder Will Saul.

That history now comes together in a collaborative release that looks back on the room’s influence while highlighting the artists continuing to push underground electronic music forward. The project also arrives as the long-running residency comes to a close, marking a new chapter in the relationship between the label and the iconic London club.

Across five tracks, Room 02 moves through heavyweight house, UK bass, jungle, garage, and experimental electronic sounds. Syreeta and Huxley open the EP with “We Synthesize,” built around chunky grooves, nimble synth work, and a sultry vocal. Bella Boo follows with “Angel,” bringing together jungle breaks, warm synths, bright melodies, and subtle acid influences for a more dreamy, euphoric direction.

On “Eternal Groove,” Otik blends UK bass, jungle, and garage elements, balancing ethereal breakdowns against cavernous bass and hard-hitting kicks. Iglew and K-LONE take a more experimental approach with “Tincture,” combining techno and bass influences with chunky house rhythms, neon-toned synths, and psychedelic textures.

Closing the collection, Will Saul delivers “The Elms,” a deep, driving production shaped by bass-heavy grooves, aching vocals, and increasingly acidic synth work. The track brings the EP to a close while reflecting the sound and energy associated with Room 2 over the years.

Beyond the music itself, Room 02 represents the impact of a partnership built through years of club nights, artist development, and experimentation. With contributions from a range of underground tastemakers, the release offers a snapshot of the sounds that have defined the Aus Music residency while pointing toward the next generation of electronic music.
