Following the release of their celebrated album Stick Around For Tea, London-based duo Worldpeace DMT have announced a 20-date North American headline tour for 2027. Comprised of Leo Fincham and Rowan Please of The Femcels, the run will bring the group to some of its largest venues in the United States to date, including Bowery Ballroom in New York City, Echoplex in Los Angeles, and Lincoln Hall in Chicago.
The announcement follows a recent run of sold-out headline shows across the United States celebrating the new album. Presale begins October 29, with general ticket sales opening Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. local time.
Alongside the tour news, Worldpeace DMT have shared a music video for Stick Around For Tea track “Ivy.” Filmed throughout New York City and directed by Alesh Compton, the video offers a visual companion to the duo’s latest release.
Released earlier this month, Stick Around For Tea has earned significant critical attention, including a Pitchfork Best New Music distinction and positive reviews from Stereogum and The Guardian. Primarily written by Fincham and Please, with production handled by Fincham, the album finds the duo refining their songwriting and stepping away from some of the electronic textures that characterized their earlier work.
Written and recorded over the past year, the record moves between raw, intimate arrangements and more intricate production. Drawing on elements of 1960s psychedelic pop while incorporating contemporary recording techniques, the album creates a sound that feels both familiar and distinctly their own. Its more stripped-back direction also gives the duo room to explore new approaches to melody, instrumentation, and songwriting.
“We want to keep things fresh, interesting and inspiring,” Fincham explained when discussing the creative direction behind the album. “The bleeps and bloops—we’ve done that already. The challenge was to find out what to fill that space with, and in a lot of cases, we didn’t fill that space with anything.”
Stick Around For Tea follows the Flowers Powers mixtape, released earlier this summer, which featured a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi.” It also builds on the foundation established by the duo’s debut album, The Velvet Underground and Rowan, which included the standout track “Love Yourself.”
With a new album receiving widespread attention, sold-out American shows already behind them, and a larger North American tour now on the calendar, Worldpeace DMT are continuing to expand their presence beyond the UK. The 2027 run will give audiences across the continent another opportunity to experience the duo’s evolving sound in a live setting.
