British DJ and crowd-pleasing favourite Duke Dumont has returned stronger than ever with the release of a brand-new track and the announcement of his very first album.
Dumont unveiled one of the newest tracks off his upcoming album on March 10th, bringing “Love Song” to the airwaves and to the enjoyment of fans everywhere. Released off of the Astralwerks label, “Love Song” is set to become a Deep House classic, and it’s one of Duke Dumont’s best releases yet. It boasts his signature melodic style, dripping with emotion and feeling through its movements. The vocal sample declares “I love you” over and over, tugging at the listener’s heartstrings. The midpoint song breakdown and drop is something truly incredible, bringing in a dramatically beautiful string and horn section, which compounds with the high hats and synthesizer to create an orchestral marvel. “Love Song” is a moving and well-conceived track, no doubt the result of Duke Dumont’s years of experience.
The release of “Love Song” was coupled with the announcement of Duke Dumont’s debut album, “Duality”, which is set to be released on April 17th. After eight different EP’s and countless chart-topping singles, “Duality” is set to be the perfect expression of Duke Dumont’s evolution as an artist throughout his thirteen-year career. With the inclusion of features such as House legend Roland Clark, Indie artists How To Dress Well and NIIA, and singers Zak Abel and RY X, the track is rich in collaboration and speaks to Dumont’s versatility as a songwriter and producer. The album features ten tracks, including “Love Song”, “Therapy”, and one of my personal favourite Duke Dumont tracks, “Ocean Drive”. “Duality” will undoubtedly be an incredible listening experience, so be sure to pre-order the album before its release, and get ready to be swept away by Duke Dumont’s moving sound.
