Day 2 of the 2019 floating festival continued with sets from Markus Schulz, MK, Prok & Fitch, Eli & Fur, Technasia, and more
As day 2 commenced on-board the Celebrity Cruises’ Infinity, Groove Cruise Miami sailed its way to its first destination stop in the sun-soaked city of Key West, Florida. Captains started their day off with an action-packed schedule of activities including a GC Bar Crawl, hilarious live entertainment, and the first GC Drag Show.
Roaming around town dressed for the classic Team Up theme, attendees coordinated costumes with their fellow GC family, including a group of Where’s Waldo striped shirts, pineapples, basketball uniforms from Space Jam, and other creative outfits.
The GC Stages
The non-stop party continued back on the ship with Detroit house master MK‘s Area10 stage on the main pool deck. With not a cloud in the sky, the drinks were flowing as Ajunadeep favorites Eli & Fur provided the perfect tunes for the gorgeous afternoon at sea. Guests were treated to a surprise B2B set with Hot Since 82 and Prok & Fitch before the “Back & Forth” hit-maker took to the decks.
On the Bacardi Terrace, trance DJ/producer Kristina Sky hosted her United We Groove fan-favorite stage, spreading good vibes by taking attendees on a musical journey. Following another epic sunset in the crisp ocean air, the evening’s Studio 54 theme saw Captains don their most impressive ‘70s-inspired looks. House music legend Roger Sanchez brought the inferno with a special disco set to match the theme featuring roller girls and contortionists, while Groove Cruise DJ contest winner The MDH Projekttraveled all the way from the UK to bring the beats to the Fortune’s Casino.
Next up was the “Unicorn Slayer” himself, Markus Schulz, who shut down the Celebrity Theater with an unforgettable open-to-close set. The evening didn’t end there as Technasia, Chus & Ceballos,Cocodrills, and more kept the party going until the night sky transitioned into sunrise.
Groove Cruise Miami will continue its voyage through the high seas with Saturday’s destination stop on the Caribbean island of Cozumel, Mexico and a takeover of Playa Mia Grand Beach Park.
