Since emerging with his 2014 debut EP The Nightday and the breakout single “Faded,” the producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist has developed a signature sound that blends deep house, techno, atmospheric production, and darker club influences. For Arizona fans, one of the most anticipated stops comes Friday, October 16, when ZHU takes over Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, Arizona. The outdoor venue will host the On The Move tour beginning with doors at 5 p.m. and the show at 6 p.m. The event is listed as an all-ages show for guests 16 and older.
The Mesa Amphitheatre stop offers a particularly fitting setting for ZHU’s atmospheric approach to electronic music. The venue’s tiered grassy layout provides an intimate outdoor environment while keeping the audience relatively close to the stage. The Mesa performance arrives in the middle of a busy stretch for ZHU. He will perform at CODA in Toronto on October 4, followed by the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on October 11. After Mesa, he heads to Festival Nescafé Vaivén in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on October 17 before returning to Austin, Texas, for two performances at The Concourse Project on October 23 and 25. From there, he will have a Halloween performance at Goldbar Distillery Treasure Island in San Francisco on October 31, followed by stops at Revel in Albuquerque on November 13 and SILO in Dallas on November 14. Wrapping up the year will have shows at Re:Frame by Framework in Los Angeles, followed by X Games in Aspen and Belly Up Aspen in January 2027.
