From helping pioneer the hardstyle movement to delivering global crossover hits alongside David Guetta and Major Lazer, Dutch brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen have consistently reinvented themselves while remaining at the forefront of electronic music.
That spirit of evolution now takes center stage with the launch of F_CK THE SYSTEM, Showtek’s brand-new record label, officially launching on July 3 in partnership with Dutch independent powerhouse Be Yourself Music.
Designed as a home for every facet of the duo’s musical identity, F_CK THE SYSTEM embraces everything from underground club records and hard dance anthems to crossover productions and festival-ready releases. Rather than committing to one style, the label reflects the creative freedom that has defined Showtek’s career since the beginning.
The partnership with Be Yourself Music further strengthens that vision. For nearly 20 years, the label has played a significant role in shaping the electronic music landscape, working with acclaimed artists including Bakermat, Brennan Heart, Headhunterz, Mike Williams, Tinlicker, Imanbek, and Vicetone while helping develop emerging talent across multiple genres.
Launching the imprint is “Ella Elle L’a,” an official collaboration between Showtek and Belgian-French dance icon Kate Ryan. The single reimagines Ryan’s beloved hit with a modern electronic production while preserving the infectious energy that made the original a European dance classic.
The collaboration was born during Showtek’s performance at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience inside Accor Arena in Paris. After testing an early version of the track during their set, the overwhelming crowd response—thousands of fans singing every lyric back—transformed what began as a live edit into a full-fledged collaboration.
The release also continues Showtek’s longstanding relationship with the French music scene. In addition to multiple collaborations with David Guetta, the duo produced the official remix of GIMS’ “Ciel” in 2025, further cementing their presence in one of Europe’s most influential electronic music markets.
For Kate Ryan, the release arrives during a milestone year. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her career in 2026, the Belgian-French singer continues to enjoy enduring success with more than 3.5 million records sold, over 500 million streams, and a catalog featuring timeless dance-pop classics including “Désenchantée,” “Voyage Voyage,” “Libertine,” and “Ella Elle L’a.” Her anniversary tour will take her across Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, and additional European destinations.
Together, Showtek and Kate Ryan breathe new life into one of European dance music’s most recognizable songs while introducing a label built around artistic freedom rather than genre expectations. As the inaugural release on F_CK THE SYSTEM, “Ella Elle L’a” sets the tone for a new chapter that celebrates every side of Showtek’s creative journey—from their hardstyle roots to the club-focused and crossover sounds that continue to define their evolution.
