Shambhala 2019 | The Pagoda Stage | Join Me at the Temple of Dance

by The Freaks - Staff

Shambhala Music Festival is proud to present the 2019 Pagoda Stage Lineup. This year’s lineup is stacked and showcases some of the hottest new talent, including the glitchy mystery artist known as Deathpact who will be making their world premiere set at Shambhala and some of the hottest artists in bass music including Subtronics, LSDream, CharlesTheFirst, and Boogie T. In addition, attendees will see the return of some of the world’s most legendary performers, namely Black Tiger Sex Machine, Zeds Dead, Justin Martin, Dr.Fresch, Grandtheft, and AC Slater. Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo will be making their return as the supergroup, Anti Up. Some iconic names in dance music will be making their Shambhala debut including Kaskade, Paul Oakenfold, Anna Lunoe, Noizu, and one of Shambhala’s most requested artists, ZHU.

This is definitely the stage you’ll catch me getting DOWN at! I’ll be shuffling up a storm with Chris Lake and Dirtybird‘s Justin Martin. And I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’ll catch something similar to this AC Slater and Chris Lorenzo set from Ultra Miami 2016 (WARNING–do not play this around your nieces like I did… there are words in the set that are not meant for the ears of tiny unicorns). It’s up in the air if I’ll be at Paul Oakenfold‘s set as I’d like to preserve my memories of his epic trance sets from the early 2000’s. Although I’ve heard from quite a few reliable sources that Paul’s recent sets have been amazing. We’ll see! Since ZHU was my recent #MCM, he’s an absolute must-see for me!

With expert video mapping technology, PK bass bins, and a spectacle of lasers, The Pagoda is a temple of myth, lore, and legend. Much like ourselves, The Pagoda can transform into almost anything you can imagine. Growing up Hindu, those rare nights I got to worship through dance instead of meditation were freeing. In the pantheon of Hindu gods and goddesses, Nataraja, God of the Dance, was always one of my favorites. The Pagoda’s timeless connection with the global musical journey is waiting here for you under the trees at Shambhala. You’ll find me reflecting upon my own journey through music and dance at this holiest of temples. Join me in giving thanks through dance, for the beautiful bodies we express joy with. In the meantime, check out the 2019 Pagoda Stage Spotify playlist here.

Shambhala Music Festival takes place on a breathtaking family-run farm in British Columbia, Canada on August 912, 2019 for the 22nd annual edition. The Salmo River Ranch gives festival-goers the chance to experience the best of what nature has to offer throughout four blissful days, while witnessing hundreds of world-class artists across six unique stages, each curated and run by their own stage directors.
