Seven Lions, Kill The Noise, and MUSTDIE! are joining forces for “Grant Us Eyes,” a dark, aggressive new single arriving October 23 via Ophelia Records. Blending relentless trance, hardstyle, and dubstep, the collaboration marks the third installment in the artists’ ongoing musical series inspired by FromSoftware’s acclaimed video game Bloodborne.
What began with 2019’s “The Blood” has evolved into a creative thread connecting the three producers through their shared fascination with the game’s gothic atmosphere, haunting world, and themes of cosmic horror. The latest release pushes that concept into heavier territory while expanding a musical universe that has developed across multiple collaborations.
The series began with “The Blood,” which incorporated dialogue from the Doll character in Bloodborne’s Hunter’s Dream. Its memorable “Let me stand close / Now shut your eyes” sequence helped establish the track’s connection to the game and its unsettling atmosphere. Four years later, Seven Lions and Kill The Noise revisited that world with “Moonlight,” a collaboration that fans embraced as a spiritual sequel to the original track.
Now, “Grant Us Eyes” takes the concept further with MUSTDIE! joining the collaboration. Drawing directly from the world of Bloodborne, the track combines the series’ dark aesthetic with a more intense musical approach, bringing together four-on-the-floor momentum and punishing bass-driven production.
According to Kill The Noise, the collaboration developed naturally after Seven Lions sent him an early idea that felt like the next chapter in their ongoing series. The producers continued refining the track until they landed on a four-on-the-floor arrangement running at 160 beats per minute. They then needed one more element to complete the record, leading to the addition of MUSTDIE!.
“Jeff suggested Lee (MUSTDIE!), and he was absolutely right,” Kill The Noise explained. “Lee completely elevated the record, and it’s become one of my favorite songs to play in my sets.”
The single follows “I Need,” released August 28 through Monstercat and Ophelia Records. The track marked the eighth collaboration between Seven Lions and Kill The Noise, as well as their second joint release on Monstercat, following their 2017 collaboration “Cold Hearted.”
For Seven Lions, “Grant Us Eyes” arrives during a particularly active period. His acclaimed album Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars and companion EP The Dreams Strange and Eternal have earned significant recognition, including Album of the Year honors from Dancing Astronaut and Best Album at the EDM Awards.
His recent work has also extended beyond traditional electronic music performances. On September 25, Seven Lions is scheduled to present Opus Harmonia, a one-night-only collaboration with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. The performance reflects his continued interest in expanding the scale and scope of his musical projects.
Meanwhile, Seven Lions and Kill The Noise are preparing for additional appearances together. The duo is set to perform as part of the Monstercat x Ophelia label showcase at Ministry of Sound in London on October 16, followed by an appearance at Amsterdam Dance Event on October 22.
With “Grant Us Eyes,” Seven Lions, Kill The Noise, and MUSTDIE! continue developing a collaboration series rooted in their shared appreciation for Bloodborne. The result brings together the atmosphere of the game’s unsettling world with the intensity of modern bass music, giving the ongoing series its heaviest chapter yet.
