London-born folk artist Seth Tabatznik is entering a new chapter with “Flow River Flow,” the first single from his forthcoming third album. Released August 7, 2026 via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart), the intimate folk offering finds Seth turning inward, drawing inspiration from his relationship with the natural world and the personal transformation that has shaped his music.
“Flow River Flow” arrives shortly after acclaimed electronic duo Deep Forest reimagined Seth Tabatznik’s “Shining For Love” with a remix released July 17. The new single also follows the release of Seth’s sophomore album, Awakening Embers, earlier this year, a project that earned praise from NOTION Magazine while singles including “Shining For Love” and “Choose To Be Alive” received support from tastemakers such as CLASH Magazine and EARMILK.
Despite only beginning his official release journey in 2024, Seth Tabatznik has already surpassed 400,000 streams across platforms, quickly establishing himself as an emerging voice within the indie folk and contemporary acoustic music scene. His growing audience has also translated into a promising live career, with sold-out performances at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, and Green Note in Camden, London.
Now based in the Western Cape mountains of South Africa, Seth draws heavily from the landscape surrounding him. “This song took me about as long to write and record as my whole previous album! Flow River Flow is a deeply personal journey about my life and my home mountain. Over the past year I’ve been learning to write with more vulnerability and share more of my own life experiences. Up until a few years ago, I thought I knew myself, my mission on this earth. I could recite it with ease. Then my body told me otherwise. Sickness diverted me towards a new path. Not unaligned with my previous one, but with more humility, empathy and a slowing down. I feel much more guided, more rooted in myself and where I’m meant to be. less pressure to achieve and more curiosity to experience, and express myself through music. When I first wrote the song, it was intended to be about the mountain I live on and how it called me to the land. As it evolved, I realized the mountain was me and so included myself into the story. Now it’s about both of us.”
