by Alex TerraNova

Smiling faces, ecstatic dance, and endless breathtaking visions of postcard perfect coastline serves as the backdrop for Jamaica’s Tmrw.Tday Culture Fest, who just wrapped its second journey around the sun this past May. Abound with wellness activations, conscious , engaging tribe talks, movement and meditations, Tmrw.Tday will continue to be nothing short of magical and one of the most incredible festival experiences in the world.
Relive the experiential festival of a lifetime — Watch the 2018 Official Aftermovie. A cinematic time capsule of the splendour that is Tmrw.Tday, the movie offers up a teaser for fun to come with next year’s adventure.
Witness an electrifying Beenie Man performance direct from The Caves, a venue that rivals its contemporaries globally in natural beauty and history. Playing host to AudioFly and a Crew takeover featuring Lonely C of Soul Clap, Wolf+Lamb and boasting a secret, seaside stage deep within the limestone cliffs, The Caves came to life with wild abandon under the ethereal glow of the moon each night throughout the week.
From sunrise to sunset, attendees activated nothing but LOVE on Irie Soul Beach, blissful oasis of Tmrw.Tday and to yoga, meditation and afternoon Tribe Talks presented by THINC. Practicing in a beautiful, open air studio, yogis of all levels enjoyed views of turquoise waters and blue skies as they were guided through various types of yoga and meditation. Program directors Stacy Irie Soul expanded this year’s offerings to include a wide spectrum of flow, movement, dance, healing + plant medicines. 2018 Irie Soul Tribe leaders included international wellness ambassadors such as the Acro Buddhas, Sharon Feanny, Ryan Caicco, Carmelinda Dimano, Chris Hawk and Subhadra Bowman.
Tmrw.Tday’s headquarters served multiple purposes as sundrenched days turned to balmy evenings, Irie Soul Beach played host to some of 2018’s music headliners including a Dub showcase which included producer phenom Teflon Zinc Fence, talented vocalists Naomi Cowan, Zia Benjamin and a special sunset performance by special guest Walshy Fire, who celebrated his birthday in Negril with the Tmrw.Tday tribe. Mixmag’s best new Bedouincommanded the decks deep into the night, driving fans through a landscape of pulsating beats and intricate melodies.
Taking a pivotal step in solidifying its place as a progressive leader Tmrw.Tday debuted the Garden of Mary Cannabis Experience, exploring the power of plant medicine. Sponsored By Tweed Main Street a Canopy Growth Corp. Company and featuring speakers Montel Williams, Dr. Craig Travis of Immugen Health, RAS IYAH V and former NBA Player John Salley. Moderated by Founder Douglas Gordon of CanEx Jamaica, the Garden of Mary offered a glimpse into the future of cannabis and how it can be used to make a positive impact on health, wellness and the community.
