New Orleans trio The Russ Liquid Test have released their seven-track EP World Gone Crazy – a fresh record filled with a unique hybridity of live instrumentation and sound production. Released through GRiZ’s All Good Records, World Gone Crazy is a cohesive concoction of hip hop, funk, drum and bass, and downtempo.
This three-piece band plays the drums, keys, and brass paired with a heavy electronic influence – a sound they have been refining since 2011. The record’s title track ‘World Gone Crazy’ features Chance The Rapper collaborator ProbCause, a perfect example of the band’s versatility and genre-blending within the dance music community. Standing amongst the likes of GRiZ, Pretty Lights, and Gramatik, The Russ Liquid Test have showcased their craft at some of the most widely known festivals in the nation: Lightning in a Bottle, Shambala, and Electric Forest.
World Gone Crazy is a record indicative of both Russ Liquid Test’s natural talent and stature in electronic music today. Listen to the EP below!
