Romanian drum & bass collective Quite Lucky is entering an ambitious new chapter with the launch of Quite Lucky Records, a label dedicated to championing the country’s growing electronic music scene while strengthening creative connections across the international drum & bass community. The announcement is accompanied by the release of the collective’s latest documentary, ECHOES – Chapter II: Cobor, on June 11, followed by the label’s inaugural single, “Feeling Quite Lucky,” on June 19.

Since its formation, Quite Lucky has built a reputation for nurturing the soulful and forward-thinking side of drum & bass, serving as a bridge between Romania’s flourishing underground scene and established artists from around the world. With the launch of Quite Lucky Records, that mission expands into a dedicated platform designed to showcase emerging talent while encouraging cross-border collaboration rooted in community rather than competition.

The label’s ethos is captured in its ongoing documentary series, ECHOES, which offers an intimate look behind the scenes of the collective’s creative process. The latest installment, ECHOES – Chapter II: Cobor, documents a week-long writing camp held at Gospodăria Cobor in the heart of Transylvania, where rising Romanian producers collaborated with artists from Hospital Records in an immersive environment focused on experimentation and artistic exchange.

Serving as a follow-up to ECHOES – Chapter I: Viscri, the new documentary acts as both a visual diary and a manifesto for the newly launched label, highlighting the relationships, creativity, and shared passion that define the Quite Lucky community.

Reflecting on the project’s wider purpose, Quite Lucky founder Andrei Lupșa said, “The camps made it clear that Romanian artists have both the voice and the energy to travel further. Our role is to create the context, open the doors, and make sure that talent is heard worldwide.”

The label’s first official release, Feeling Quite Lucky,” embodies that philosophy. Created by vocalist and songwriter Blocksberg alongside producer Azotix, the single originated during the collective’s first anniversary celebration and introduces listeners to the label’s signature blend of soulful songwriting, energetic drum & bass production, and distinctly Romanian creative identity.

Hailing from Transylvania, Blocksberg has steadily established herself as one of the country’s most exciting drum & bass vocalists. Following her breakthrough appearance on Mefjus‘ track “Stay,” she has become known for combining emotional vulnerability with powerful, versatile vocal performances that move effortlessly between liquid drum & bass and more atmospheric electronic soundscapes.

Joining her on the release is Azotix, one of the standout names to emerge from Romania’s new generation of drum & bass producers. With releases on respected imprints including VISION, Overview Music, and Critical Music, as well as support from influential artists such as Halogenix and Rockwell, Azotix has earned recognition for his refined production style and dancefloor-focused approach.

Looking ahead, Quite Lucky Records plans to build on this momentum with a steady stream of releases throughout 2026, providing a home for artists who continue to push the creative boundaries of contemporary drum & bass.

By pairing a new record label with documentary storytelling and collaborative music creation, Quite Lucky is positioning itself as more than an imprint—it is building a platform that celebrates Romania’s rapidly evolving drum & bass scene while creating meaningful opportunities for its artists to connect with audiences around the world.
