The dopest festival in our galaxy is back for its biggest year yet, and we are here to translate the most recent transmissions for you! On April 5th and 6th, 2019, the lights return to The Park at Wild Horse Pass for the fifth anniversary of Relentless Beats’ incident-inspired event. The Phoenix Lights phase one lineup is here and our radar is buzzing.
At Decadence Arizona 2018 a few weeks ago, the first two Phoenix Lights artists appeared on posters throughout the venue. Attendees were excited to see the familiar faces of Kaskade and Excision. In addition, Relentless Beats has also finalized the Phoenix Lights phase one lineup yesterday and it puts the extra in extraterrestrial! Those released so far include A$AP Ferg, Shiba San, Jeremy Olander, Jay Lumen, and Malaa. And just this morning, Griz and Throttle were added to that list! Many more artists will be communicated in the coming weeks.
Phoenix Lights is a festival with a unique background; an event that stems from an event, more or less. Dig a little deeper into the famed UFO sightings here. Basically, thousands of people spotted a series of unidentified flying “light orbs” in the sky above the valley on March 13th, 1997. What greater premise is there for an electronic music festival?! The theme makes for the most astronomical of encounters through music, art installations, and astral attendees.
Past lineups have been consistently diverse. Although usually electronically-inclined, the festival has generally sprinkled a dose of other kinds of acts as well. Some of our favorite past artists were Diplo, Gucci Mane, Martin Garrix, Gramatik, Seven Lions, Zomboy, Minnesota, STS9, Zeds Dead, Zhu, and Illenium, just to name a few.
Now that the Phoenix Lights phase one is out, keep your eyes on us for the phase two lineup drop. Tickets are currently available, with options for VIP upgrades as well. Avoid the price increase this Sunday at midnight by purchasing your tickets NOW! Our countdown to abduction begins, Freaks!
