The Partysquad Collaborate with Full Crate for Jamaican-Influenced “Hot”. Out on Mad Decent

by The Freaks - Staff

Full Crate and dynamic duo The Partysquad love to keep listeners on their toes, and this time they’ve returned with an extremely surprising collaboration on the sassy, feel-good jam “Hot“. After Full Crate‘s instrumental riddim “Big Booty Problem” became an instant club hit, Full Crate tagged fellow Amsterdammers The Partysquad to develop “Big Booty Problem” into the anthem “Hot“. The incredibly catchy vocals are performed by newcomers Nick & Navi. The stunning Jamaican born and Los Angelesresiding duo happen to be the nieces of Jamaican dance-hall legend Shabba Ranks. With a heavy focus on live instrumental melodies and drums, “Hot” brings an exotic, island vibe that will warm up even the coldest of winter days. The track may be a different sound than prior releases, but The Partysquad and Full Crateare both known for their production diversity; Full Crate plays everything from soul music to deep house, while The Partysquad heads up Rebel Yard Music, which celebrates a diverse array of music.

The Partysquad has been on a recent hot streak; their tracks “Original Don” with Major Lazer and “Double Bubble” with M.I.A. experienced success with fans and industry tastemakers alike. Now their foray into a new, inventive sound with “Hot” represents The Partysquad‘s next chapter, with endless possibilities ahead. Full Crate is an incredibly dynamic talent in his own right whose sound ranges from sultry R&B to underground house music. In 2011, he was invited to Red Bull‘s prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid and has been going full steam ahead ever since. Full Crate‘s notorious bootlegs and remixes ultimately led to the much praised “Vogue EP” with all-star collaborators like Trinidad James and Bluey Robinson.
