Los Angeles house music powerhouse OMNOM teams up with Vancouver-based rapper, multimedia artist, and model Tommy Genesis for “Pressure,” a dark and tension-filled tech house collaboration released via Insomniac Records.
Built for the late-night dancefloor, “Pressure” pushes the intensity of club music into more sensual territory, pairing OMNOM’s shadowy production with Tommy Genesis’ unmistakable vocal presence. Genesis delivers her signature pillowtalk-style vocals across the track, with soft and intimate tones contrasting against a production that grows increasingly restless and aggressive.
The track unfolds through growling low-end surges, sharp drum shuffles, whistling Shepard tones, laser-like modulations, warped synth rattles, and eerie melodic textures. Rather than relying on a single explosive drop, “Pressure” steadily ratchets up its tension, creating a sultry atmosphere that feels increasingly close to its breaking point.
Genesis’ vocals are central to that dynamic. Her understated delivery gives the record an intimate quality while allowing OMNOM’s production to supply the heavier club pressure underneath. The result is a sleek, provocative house record that balances sensuality with the darker edges of modern tech house.
“Pressure” follows OMNOM’s recent “Take You There,” released as part of his HYPERBEAM project with Odd Mob on Insomniac Records. The collaboration continues a standout run for the Los Angeles producer, whose catalog includes the 2023 Beatport No. 1 record “Losing Control” with Odd Mob, multiple Top 5 placements, and a feature on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
The producer is also in the middle of his Summer 2026 Tour, with festival appearances at The DoLab at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands. He also held a 2026 residency at Marquee Dayclub and Nightclub with Tao Group, further cementing his presence across the U.S. club and festival circuit.
For Tommy Genesis, “Pressure” arrives during another chapter of her boundary-pushing career. Known for her provocative approach to music, fashion, and multimedia art, the Vancouver artist coined the term “fetish rapper” to describe her distinctive style. Across her music, she has explored themes of sexuality, identity, and social expectations while consistently challenging genre and cultural conventions.
Since releasing her debut album in 2015, Genesis has released four studio albums and collaborated with artists including Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey, Marlon Hoffstadt, The Martinez Brothers, Slayyyter, Nessa Barrett, and Austin Millz. Her work has also appeared in British Vogue, Billboard, Nylon, PAPER Magazine, and i-D.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Genesis says, “Working with OMNOM on ‘Pressure’ was the soundtrack to my summer. The song has its own orbit that just takes over and makes you want to dance. It’s one of the last features before my album cycle and I am so excited for the world to hear it!”
With “Pressure,” OMNOM and Tommy Genesis find an intriguing middle ground between underground club intensity and provocative vocal-driven songwriting. It’s a record built around tension, atmosphere, and groove—and one that seems tailor-made for dark rooms and late nights.
