Om Records continues its 30-year anniversary celebration with a major hometown moment, announcing SF Free Concerts Presents – Om Records 30 Years, a daytime event set for May 9 at Embarcadero Plaza. The free show is produced by Another Planet Entertainment as part of its San Francisco Free Concerts series, in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department.
The open-air celebration will feature a stacked lineup including Mark Farina, Colette b2b Heather, Shiny Objects, and J Boogie—bringing together key artists from the label’s storied catalog for a daytime gathering in the heart of San Francisco.
Following the free event, the celebration will continue into the night at The Great Northern with an extended lineup featuring Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Colette b2b Heather, Shiny Objects, J Boogie, Rithma, King Koobra, 40 Thieves, and Homero Espinosa, offering a deeper dive into the label’s sound across generations of artists.
The milestone events arrive alongside the release of OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS, a compilation album celebrating the label’s legacy. The project features standout singles including “Summer Haze” from Samantha James and Late Night Alumni, “Stay On My Mind” from Mark Farina, Homero Espinosa, and Dani Siciliano, “Do It Right” from Groove Armada, “The Sunshine” from Colette, Richard Earnshaw, and Kenny Summit, “Wind Trades” from J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and Carlos Araiza, “Deja Vu” from 40 Thieves, and “Freedom” from Kaskade and EZI.
Reflecting on the city’s cultural resurgence, Daniel Lurie отметил the significance of the event, emphasizing San Francisco’s identity as a music city and the role of free public concerts in bringing communities together while supporting artists and activating public spaces.
Long before the rise of labels like Dirtybird, Experts Only, and Monstercat, Om Records helped define the foundation of American dance music culture. With more than 800 releases, the label has navigated decades of industry shifts—from the aftermath of September 11 attacks and the Dot-Com Bubble to the rise of Napster, the evolution of digital downloads, economic downturns, and a global pandemic—while continuing to champion forward-thinking electronic music.
Three decades on, OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS stands as both a retrospective and a celebration of one of the longest-running and most influential dance music labels in the United States, with its anniversary events set to honor that legacy on the dancefloor and beyond.
