French melodic techno artist NTO is set to release his long-awaited new album, NAKED, on October 16 via Paris-based label All Night Long. Written across Cassis, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and Corsica, the album reflects a period of personal transformation for the producer as he worked through grief, anger, and the search for a renewed sense of balance. Completed at his home on the outskirts of Marseille, the record captures a more vulnerable side of the artist while exploring the connection between nature, emotion, and hope.
The album follows APNEA, NTO’s 2021 release, which has surpassed 150 million streams and includes a gold-certified single. Since then, the Marseille native has continued to establish himself as a prominent figure in the international techno scene, collaborating with Paul Kalkbrenner, Tricky, and Monolink. He also joined acclaimed pianist Sofiane Pamart for Forever Friends and performed alongside artists such as Stephan Bodzin and Ben Böhmer. His festival appearances have included Tomorrowland, Timewarp, Dour, Paléo, Untold, Printworks, and Sónar.
Following an extensive world tour through South America, the United States, Canada, London, and Paris, NTO found himself ready to step back from the pace of touring and reconnect with his personal life. That period of reflection became the foundation for NAKED, an album shaped by a desire to move forward while accepting uncertainty and vulnerability.
“I had a lot to say,” NTO explains, describing the process of writing dozens of tracks before arriving at the album’s final form. The resulting collection places vocals at the center of its emotional landscape while maintaining the melodic and club-focused production that has defined his sound.
Across the tracklist, natural imagery and human connection emerge as recurring themes. “Myosotis” draws on the symbolism of flowers, while “Humming Bird” references the small but striking presence of hummingbirds. Other songs, including “I Cared For You” and “Ensemble,” explore the importance of sharing and connection. The album also features contributions from Sinego, Mont Rouge, and Romain Garcia.
The latest chapter in the album’s rollout arrives with “Viento,” featuring Sinego. The track combines a restrained melodic club groove with organic instrumentation, creating an atmosphere that balances introspection with forward momentum. For NTO, the collaboration reflects the album’s central tension between finding stability and remaining open to vulnerability.
“This track was born from a desire to keep moving forward even when things aren’t entirely clear, capturing a fragile balance between staying grounded and remaining vulnerable. It’s an introspective song that looks deeply toward the future, speaking of a calm, almost silent hope. Musically, I kept a soft, melodic club groove that feels both intimate and luminous, and Sinego, the Mexican artist I collaborated with, brought a natural touch with his lyrics and guitar melodies.”
The album’s earliest foundation came from “Fior di Macchia,” a deeply personal track inspired by a discovery NTO made while clearing out his family home. Among the belongings, he found drawings, paintings, and written texts signed with a name his father had used for his own private artistic work. That moment helped shape the emotional direction of the project, connecting personal history with the process of rebuilding and rediscovering himself.
Additional singles released ahead of the album include “I Cared For You,” featuring Mont Rouge, “Myosotis,” and “Validation, Medication,” featuring Sailor & I. The latter examines the modern pursuit of online approval, adding another perspective to a record concerned with the ways people seek connection and reassurance.
For NTO, NAKED represents a significant milestone in his artistic development.
“This album is without a doubt the most accomplished work of my career, and the one I’m proudest of,” says NTO. “NAKED was born from a personal reconstruction, a moment when I had to find balance again. A healthier, more authentic balance, but also a more fragile one. Something that constantly oscillates between grounding and accepting vulnerability.
“NAKED is a bearing, a stripping away. A way of getting to the essential, without artifice, but with a thread of hope running through it.
“Musically, I tried to translate this state. Through something very intimate, suspended between organic layers and a more liberating techno. The voice plays an important role there, as an element in service of the emotion, without ever overpowering the music.”
With NAKED, NTO turns a period of personal change into a body of work that moves between intimate songwriting and expansive electronic production. The album marks a new chapter for the French producer, one built around emotional honesty, a renewed sense of perspective, and the possibility of finding hope even when the path ahead remains uncertain.
Following the release, NTO will take the album on a worldwide tour, with performances planned across France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, and beyond.
