VNSSA – ‘Music4TheMasses’
“I’m really excited to have this EP [‘Music4TheMasses‘] on Higher Ground. The idea behind these tracks was that I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and make something I wasn’t hearing in the clubs. I wanted to make something different and unexpected that still worked on the dancefloor and I’m through the roof that Higher Ground liked the EP and signed it because I think it’s a great label for showcasing the unexpected.”

Glowal – ‘Trigger Your Sense’
“Of course, COVID isolation had a big influence on our musical output. As soon as we were able to let go of certain expectations and opinions, the creative flow followed quite naturally. Ninety percent of the album came out of a fifteen-day-long studio session we did between December 2020 and January 2021. From the writing of the lyrics to the growing presence of vocals, it was all a full immersive experience to us. Not something we planned, but something that just happened very naturally.
During New Year’s Eve we spent the night inside of our studio finishing up the album and welcoming the new year feeling hopeful for the future. All of the melodies inside of the tracks on this album come from a mixture of emotions between the struggles we experienced these past years and the strong hope for better days moving forward. We’re very happy how it turned out! ‘Trigger Your Sense‘ is basically an invitation for those who got lost to find that sense of life and hope again, like we experienced while making it. We hope you all enjoy it!”

Mansionair – ‘Shallow Water’
“‘Shallow Water‘ is about our band cracking under pressure. We wrote it at a point when our friendships within the band were not in a great spot. We were fighting a lot about really petty things and this song was the result of working through them. To me this song is about letting go of expectations of each other and accepting each other’s flaws. In doing so, we’ve come out the other side stronger and closer as a band than ever.”

“It all started when I was sent the demo vocal from Alix Robson. I stopped everything I was doing and listened to it for about 10 straight minutes. It was so magical and powerful all in one and I knew it needed the most triumphant instrumental! I got to work ASAP and after roughly 6 different drop ideas, 15 different session files and 25 exported versions I finally got there and BOOM here is ‘Enter With Caution‘!!! This beautiful vocal from Alix was the key to unlocking the power of this song, and with the hectic orchestral drum and bass dinger behind it, I knew we had something very special.”
