EXPERIENCE THE CROWN JEWEL OF NORCAL AT NORTHERN NIGHTS MUSIC FESTIVAL

Northern Nights Music Festival is back for a fifth year and we couldn’t be more excited for this amazing transformational experience.

Northern Nights is A three-day celebration of music, art, food and local culture, the annual Northern Nights Music Festival (NNMF) takes place every third weekend in July, this year on July 14th-16th. Now entering its fifth year, NNMF has created its along the South Fork Eel River at Cook’s Valley Campground, 3.5 hours north of San Francisco at the intersection of Mendocino and Humboldt counties. Since its inception, NNMF has cemented its place among the ranks of the many acclaimed music festivals who have converged along the Eel River over the past 30 years, from Jerry Garcia’s Electric on the Eel to Reggae on the River.
With a heated line up there is so much talent but we have put together our five don’t miss performances for this year.

Sajeeb Saha, known professionally as Jai Wolf, is a New -based electronic producer. He is best known for his singles, “Indian Summer”, “Like It’s Over”, and “Starlight”. He is currently signed to Mom + Pop Music. In 2015, Jai Wolf released his debut “Indian Summer” through ODESZA’s label, Foreign Family Collective. Indian Summer saw great commercial success, hitting #1 on Spotify’s US Viral Chart, #2 on iTunes’ Electronic Chart, and #31 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic song’s chart. The track also earned a spot on Triple J 2015 Hottest 100 in Australia, May 2016, Jai Wolf released his follow up single, “Drive”, through Foreign Family Collective. November 18, 2016, Jai Wolf released his debut EP, Kindred Spirits through Mom + Pop music. April 2017, Jai Wolf released his single, “Starlight”, feat. Mr. Gabriel, followed by a performance at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Big Wild
Jackson Stell otherwise known as Big Wild has the ability to bring out all the feels when he drops his massive cinematic and spacious sound. He will send shivers down my spine when I get to experience him live for the first time. With an eclectic live show consisting of a hybrid drum set, a keyboard, and whistling, Big Wild has built a passionate following spanning all types of music lovers. Big Wild embarks on his own nationwide Invincible Tour this spring to showcase his new EP and give fans the next incarnation of his unique live experience.

DIRTWIRE
Dirtwire sits on the back porch of Americana’s future, conjuring up a whirlwind of sound using traditional instrumentation, world percussion, soundscapes, and electronic beats. Comprised of David Satori (Beats Antique), Evan Fraser (The Dogon Lights; Bolo), and Mark Reveley (Jed and Lucia), each performance brings us all to a mysterious crossroads of beats, blues, African, Asian, and South American sounds. The result is a rebirth of Americana and a post-millennial psychedelic journey to downhome goodness.

JOYZU
Joyzu formed of Quinton Pope & Carson Willms prove that true grit and uncompromised tenacity when it comes to creating music will progress their future bass sound into the ever changing landscape of dance music. Their combined passion for music and versatile expression as performers broadcasts their undeniable talent, and presents them as an unmissable act for 2017. With plans for extensive performances across N. America, S. America, Canada, and Mexico already in motion, there’s no glass ceiling with how far Joyzu will take their sound and show. They are cementing their name into 2017, so you better remember it.

CREAMS N’ LOTIONS
Hailing From Los Angeles, California, there isn’t much to go off when it comes to information on this duo but what we can say is that the mixes on their soundcloud have our office moving our asses and shuffling with the best of them. The funk house these two drop is absolutely a don’t miss and we look forward to shaking it to the beats and grooves coming from Creams n’ Lotions at Northern Nights.
