Legendary DJ, producer, labelhead, and tastemaker Lee Burridge has returned with Faze, his first solo project in five years. Released via All Day I Dream, the new four-track EP brings together previously released singles “Reaching Stars” and “Fading Out” while capturing a renewed period of creativity for one of dance music’s most enduring figures.
Across Faze, Burridge distills the sound he has spent years developing through All Day I Dream, blending warm melodies, dreamy vocals, fluid grooves, and an emotional pull that gradually unfolds across the dancefloor. Rather than chasing immediate peaks, the four tracks move with the patient sense of progression that has become central to both Burridge’s DJ sets and the label’s identity.
The EP begins with the daytime glow of “Fading Out” before gradually moving toward the late-night atmosphere of “Before I Lose Control.” In between, the tracks ebb and build naturally, mirroring the arc of an All Day I Dream gathering and translating the atmosphere of its open-air dancefloors into a concise four-track journey.
Faze arrives during a particularly reflective and creative period for Burridge. At the beginning of 2026, he stepped away from touring for a period to focus entirely on making music, creating the space for a new collection of solo material to take shape.
That period of reflection also coincided with Sound of a Dream, a documentary that gave Burridge an opportunity to look back across four decades of his career. The film traces his journey through London, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Burning Man, as well as the creation and evolution of All Day I Dream.
Together, the documentary and new music have brought Burridge’s past and present into sharper focus. Both projects reconnect him with the community, atmosphere, and musical storytelling that have remained consistent throughout his career while opening the door to a new chapter of creativity.
Last weekend, Burridge returned to Brooklyn for a special eight-hour open-to-close set, marking a rare performance in the city where All Day I Dream began. The performance served as another connection between the label’s history and its present-day evolution.
