Aftershock, the bass-focused sub-brand of Relentless Beats, is bringing a new Halloween tradition to Arizona with HEX, a two-night bass music experience taking over Rawhide Festival Grounds on October 30–31. Featuring two stages and a lineup packed with some of the biggest names in bass music, the new festival is set to introduce a darker side of the Southwest’s electronic music scene.
Billed as a “Bass Music Halloween Experience,” HEX will bring together heavy-hitting production and a lineup that spans the darker, heavier, and more experimental sides of bass music. Leading the inaugural festival are Subtronics, Excision, INZO, and ATLiens, with additional performances from Badklaat, Deathbeat, Decimate, Dennett, Hurtbox, Inaktiv, Izzy Vadim, Layz, Linz, Modal Nodes, Nikademis, Onara, Proxxy, Riot Ten b2b PhaseOne, Softest Hard, Sora, Xaebor, and YVM3.
The festival will split its lineup across two nights, giving attendees a different collection of bass artists each evening.
Friday, October 30 will feature Subtronics, INZO, Badklaat, Dennett, Inaktiv, Izzy Vadim, Layz, Nikademis, Onara, Sora, and Linz.
Saturday, October 31 will bring Excision, ATLiens, Decimate, Hurtbox, Modal Nodes, Proxxy, Riot Ten b2b PhaseOne, Softest Hard, Xaebor, YVM3, and Deathbeat to the festival grounds.
Adding another layer to the festival’s debut is the HEX Blood Oath DJ Competition, built around the concept of “two souls, one ritual.” Taking place October 11 at Sunbar in Tempe, Arizona, the competition requires contestants to enter as a pair, with the winning duo earning the opening B2B slot at HEX.
The competition will also support a local cause, with a portion of the night’s proceeds benefiting Rosie’s House, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating barriers to high-quality music education.
Tickets and festival extras are currently on sale, including merchandise, tables, shuttles, parking, and travel options. HEX is an 18-and-over event.
With its inaugural edition arriving just in time for Halloween, HEX gives Aftershock another opportunity to put the spotlight on bass music while creating a new festival experience at Rawhide Festival Grounds. The two-night event will take place October 30–31, bringing a heavy dose of bass to Arizona for Halloween weekend.
