Today, Goldenvoice officially announced the return of Portola Music Festival, San Francisco’s premier celebration of dance music and underground culture, taking place September 26-27 at Pier 80.

Entering its fifth year, Portola continues to solidify itself as one of North America’s defining electronic music festivals, blending globally influential artists with the Bay Area’s longstanding rave and nightlife legacy against the industrial waterfront backdrop of San Francisco.

Leading the 2026 lineup is globally acclaimed Swedish dance-pop visionary Robyn, whose appearance at Portola marks her only festival performance of the year following the release of her latest album ‘Sexistential’. Saturday will also feature a major reunion performance from DOG BLOOD, the celebrated collaborative project between Skrillex and Boys Noize, returning for their first show under the moniker since 2019 and their only announced performance of 2026.

The weekend further expands with legendary trio Swedish House Mafia, whose influence helped bring stadium-scale dance music into the global mainstream. Portola will serve as one of only two currently announced U.S. appearances from the group this year. Swedish pop powerhouse Zara Larsson also joins the lineup, bringing her ‘Midnight Sun’ era to San Francisco.

The 2026 edition reflects the festival’s ongoing commitment to showcasing artists who have shaped both underground and mainstream electronic music culture across generations. Revered electronic innovator Four Tet joins the bill alongside festival giant Tiësto, who will deliver one of the weekend’s marquee performances inside the Warehouse stage. Swedish icon Tove Lo adds her emotionally charged dance-pop energy, while pioneering Belgian outfit Soulwax return with their genre-blurring blend of rock and electronic music.

One of the festival’s most anticipated returning experiences is DESPACIO, the immersive sound system concept created by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, David and Stephen Dewaele of 2ManyDJs and Soulwax, alongside sound engineer John Klett. The acclaimed audio installation has become one of the most celebrated experiential dance environments in the world.

The lineup stretches across a wide spectrum of electronic and alternative sounds, including Mike D 5D, the new project from Beastie Boys co-founder Mike D, alongside influential names such as Ben UFO, Groove Armada, Fatboy Slim, Daphni, and Overmono.

Live electronic and crossover acts also play a major role throughout the weekend, with performances from Skepta, Parcels, Ninajirachi, Kelela, Channel Tres, SG Lewis (Live), ADÉLA, Fcukers, and Six Sex. In one of the festival’s more unexpected moments, Melanie C, globally recognized as Sporty Spice of the Spice Girls, will perform a special DJ set.

The next wave of global club talent is heavily represented throughout the lineup as well, including KETTAMA, horsegiirL, Marlon Hoffstadt, Mochakk, Prospa, Beltran b2b Ben Sterling, Chloé Caillet, Max Styler, and Dean Turnley.

The festival’s Bay Area identity remains central to its vision. Legendary Northern California producer DJ Shadow will celebrate 30 years of his landmark album ‘Endtroducing…..’, while rising local acts including underscores, erika b2b sfcowboy, and the Program Audio collective showcase the evolving energy of the region’s underground scene.

Beyond music, Portola continues expanding its hospitality offerings with the introduction of the new Captain’s Club experience. The premium package includes all VIP amenities alongside exclusive viewing decks, Warehouse stage access, hosted bar service, priority merchandise access, and curated culinary offerings from San Francisco favorites Bodega SF and The Coffee Movement.
