Giora returns with FREEWAY, a six-track EP released May 1 via their own imprint Holypop, marking a powerful new chapter in the London-based artist’s evolving sonic universe. Anchored by the focus track “LONG LIVE MUSIC,” the project dives into themes of existentialism, liberation, personal power, and truth—delivered through a striking blend of experimental pop, electronic abstraction, and emotional storytelling.
Already earning praise from outlets like KALTBLUT Magazine, NOTION Magazine, CLASH Magazine, and Wonderland Magazine, Giora continues to refine a sound that merges distorted textures, intricate rhythms, and delicate synth work with deeply personal lyricism. FREEWAY stands as one of their most direct and unfiltered statements to date, balancing avant-garde production with moments of clarity and vulnerability.
A multi-disciplinary artist—spanning singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and creative director—Giora has steadily built a reputation across underground circuits. Their live performances have included appearances alongside Isabella Lovestory, Varg, Babynymph, Elisabeth Elektra, Puce Mary, Kelora, and Felix Lee, while festival and venue highlights range from CREEPY TEEPEE Festival in the Czech Republic to KWIA in Berlin and Bike Jesus in Prague. In London, they have brought their immersive live sets to spaces such as Gossamer Fog, Spanners, The Divine, and The Glory, alongside commissioned sound installations exhibited at Rich Mix and Stanley Arts.
The roots of Giora’s artistry trace back to North London, where early training in classical piano, voice, and music theory laid the groundwork for a genre-fluid approach. A period spent in New York, including orchestral composition studies at Juilliard, further shaped their musical language, ultimately leading to their debut releases and the critically acclaimed 2023 album It’s So Quiet But I Hear You.
On FREEWAY, that foundation expands into a cohesive yet exploratory body of work. Produced and mixed by Giora alongside Czech producer Oliver Torr—known for work with Sunnbrella, Palmistry, and Evita Manji—and mastered by Canadian composer Zac Tiessen, the EP moves fluidly across sonic territories while maintaining a clear emotional throughline.
The project opens with its title track, setting a playful yet assertive tone through syncopated drums, psychedelic synths, and a driving bassline. “EARTHQUAKE” follows as a statement of self-assurance, unfolding with rave-leaning energy and widescreen production. On “POWER CANDY,” Giora leans into vulnerability, pairing emotive vocals with layered synth textures, breakbeat influences, and a brooding guitar presence. “GOD’S GIFT” strips things back, revealing a more minimal and intimate side of their artistry.

At the center of the EP, “LONG LIVE MUSIC” serves as both a personal manifesto and a defining moment—channeling 80s-inspired synth-pop elements into a track that celebrates transformation through sound. Closing track “IN THE END” pushes outward once more, delivering a high-intensity, genre-blurring anthem that confronts identity and nonconformity through a fusion of breaks, experimental electronica, and trance influences.
“This EP is a statement piece about freedom, truth, and love,” Giora explains. “The freeway is a promise of openness, travel, connection. It is an expression of human nature. Freedom is yours to build—not at the expense of anyone or anything else. The free way is acceptance, transformation, and the ability to be exactly as you please… staying real and holding your own power and doing it with love.”
With FREEWAY, Giora delivers a project that feels both deeply personal and sonically expansive—an exploration of identity, emotion, and artistic freedom that continues to push the boundaries of experimental pop.
