Italian electronic producer GENESI teams up with Paris-born, London-based artist Xoro for their new collaborative single “Cheat Code,” out now via Insomniac Records, bringing together melodic house intensity with a darker, vocal-driven edge.
The track also features UK vocalists Aya Anne and Mither, who deliver a striking dual-performance that anchors the record’s emotional tension. Aya Anne’s cool, restrained vocal tone contrasts sharply with Mither’s rapid-fire, abrasive delivery, creating a call-and-response dynamic that drives the track forward with constant tension and release.
Built on a foundation of pitch-shifting synth leads, rolling low-end pressure, and tightly wound percussive detail, “Cheat Code” unfolds as a moody, club-ready cut designed for peak-time impact. The production steadily escalates, layering hypnotic melodic fragments over an increasingly urgent rhythmic framework that gives the track its sense of momentum and intensity.
For GENESI, the release adds to a growing catalog on Insomniac Records, following collaborations like “See You Sweat” with Max Styler and “Edge of the World” with MEDUZA, both of which have accumulated millions of streams. His wider discography on labels such as Diynamic, including the Freak EP with MEDUZA and his solo Hyper EP, has earned support from artists including Anyma and Solomun, reinforcing his position within the melodic techno and house ecosystem.
His 2026 performance schedule continues to reflect that momentum, with appearances at major international stages including Hï Ibiza, ARC Chicago, CRSSD Festival, Veld Music Festival, and UNVRS Ibiza, alongside festival slots such as Why Not Festival and Beats for Love.
Xoro has also steadily carved out a transatlantic presence, working across underground and crossover dance spaces. Known for blending club sensibility with pop-adjacent songwriting, he has collaborated with artists such as FISHER, Chris Lake, MEDUZA, and Armin van Buuren, while his breakout single “Face Mask On” surpassed 100 million streams. His remix work for artists including Joel Corry and Jax Jones further highlights his versatility across commercial and club contexts.
Vocal contributors bring additional depth to the release: Aya Anne, a recurring collaborator within GENESI’s creative orbit, has previously appeared on tracks such as “Freak,” “Karma,” and “DNA,” while Mither, the alter-ego of Manchester MC DRS, brings a lineage rooted in UK drum and bass culture, having worked alongside artists including Turno, Bou, S.P.Y, and Calibre.
With “Cheat Code,” the four artists converge on a tightly constructed, high-impact record that fuses melodic techno tension with vocal interplay and underground grit, reinforcing its place as a standout release within Insomniac Records’ evolving catalog.
