Galantis Brings MIDSOMMAR to Denver Alongside New EP Announcement

GRAMMY Award-winning producer Christian Karlsson, better known as Galantis, is expanding his immersive MIDSOMMAR event series with a new stop in Denver, Colorado. The celebration will take over The Junkyard on October 17, arriving just one day after the release of his upcoming EP, The Devil’s Tax Return: Vol. 1, via Counter Records.

Inspired by the traditions of the summer solstice, MIDSOMMAR blurs the line between fantasy and reality, celebrating community, renewal, and the vibrant energy of life in full bloom. After successful editions in Los Angeles and San Francisco earlier this year, the concept continues to grow with additional events scheduled in Chicago, New York City, and now Denver.

Returning to Denver after selling out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2025, Galantis will transform The Junkyard into an immersive floral playground complete with flower crowns, a flower queen, and a dancefloor designed to capture the colorful spirit of the festival. While rooted in the traditions of Midsummer, the experience is intended to be celebrated year-round, reimagining the holiday through Galantis’ signature euphoric sound and vibrant visual aesthetic.

Additional MIDSOMMAR events are scheduled for August 22 at The Salt Shed in Chicago and September 11-12 at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City.

The Denver announcement also coincides with the reveal of The Devil’s Tax Return: Vol. 1, a new EP set for release on October 16. The project marks the beginning of a new creative chapter for Galantis, featuring reinterpretations of songs that influenced Karlsson throughout his career. The collection includes fresh takes on material originally recorded by artists including José González, Frankie Valli, The Killers, Feist, and The War on Drugs.

Recent singles Stay Alive,” a reimagining of José González’s work, and Do You Mind,” which revisits Paleface featuring Kyla’s 2007 UK bassline and R&B classic, offer the first glimpse into the upcoming release. The latter also pays homage to the track’s lasting legacy following Crazy Cousinz’ influential 2009 remix and its later resurgence through Drake’s global hit “One Dance.”

The new project also reflects Christian Karlsson’s diverse musical journey. Before launching Galantis, he found international success as a member of indie-pop trio Miike Snow, known for platinum-certified singles including “Animal” and “Genghis Khan.” Earlier still, under the acclaimed production duo Bloodshy & Avant, Karlsson co-produced a string of chart-topping pop hits, including Britney Spears’ GRAMMY Award-winningToxic,” as well as “Piece of Me,” “Radar,” and collaborations with artists such as Madonna and Katy Perry.

Artist presale tickets for the Denver MIDSOMMAR event begin July 15, followed by Live Nation, Insomniac, and venue presales on July 16. General ticket sales open July 17 at 10:00 a.m. MST.

With a new immersive live experience and an ambitious EP celebrating the music that shaped his artistic evolution, Galantis is continuing to redefine both his sound and his connection with fans throughout 2026.
