EXIT successfully launched its inaugural EXIT to Montenegro edition, welcoming more than 50,000 attendees to Long Beach in Ulcinj across three nights and officially kicking off Montenegro’s summer festival season. Blending world-class electronic music, striking visual art, and the country’s stunning Adriatic coastline, the event established Ulcinj as one of Europe’s newest electronic music destinations.
The opening chapter featured standout performances from Monolink, Jamie Jones, Argy, Maceo Plex, Stephan Bodzin, Awen, Fiona Kraft, Konstantin Sibold, Space Motion, Deer Jade, Lanna, and an array of regional artists. A spectacular 12-meter monumental installation served as the festival’s visual centerpiece, transforming the beachfront into an immersive artistic experience that captivated festivalgoers throughout the weekend.
By day, attendees enjoyed beach activities, music programming, and a breathtaking kitesurfing showcase soaring above the Adriatic Sea. As night fell, Long Beach transformed into a vibrant open-air dancefloor, pairing cutting-edge production with one of the Mediterranean’s most scenic natural backdrops.
At the heart of the festival stood the towering art installation, created through a collaboration between Montenegrin and Serbian artists. Enhanced with immersive 3D projection mapping, the sculpture became one of the defining visual elements of the event. The artwork was dedicated to Ivana Kovačević, wife of EXIT founder Dušan Kovačević and a beloved member of the EXIT family, honoring themes of compassion, hope, and the feminine spirit of protecting life.

Beyond the music, the festival highlighted the growing impact of large-scale cultural events on Montenegro’s tourism industry. By attracting thousands of international visitors during early July, EXIT to Montenegro helped address one of the country’s traditionally quieter tourism periods while showcasing the enormous potential of Long Beach as a future destination for major international festivals.
The celebration now shifts to its second and final chapter, taking place August 28-31 in Budva (Bečići). The closing weekend will feature another blockbuster lineup including Peggy Gou, Charlotte de Witte, HUGEL, John Newman, Enrico Sangiuliano, RPR Soundsystem, and many more, continuing EXIT’s vision of bringing globally acclaimed electronic music experiences to Montenegro’s Adriatic coast.
