by Alex TerraNova

Leading up to the 22nd edition of North America’s largest dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, hosted at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, globally renowned dance music artists will travel to the Las Vegas Strip’s premier indoor and outdoor venues to kick-off the three-day, dusk till dawn event. So the Week of parties is dope and all but I could help but list who I most excited to experience at my first EDC!

Kinetic Field | also known as Jeff Montalvo is an American record producer, remixer, instrumentalist, and DJ from Southern California. In the music industry since 2010, his music combines styles as trance, melodic dubstep, drum and bass, glitch hop, and electro house. HIs set at ABGT 250 with Jason Ross was mind bending and I can’t wait to lose myself in his music again!

Cosmic Meadow | Boys Noize also known as Alexander Ridha is a German electronic music producer and DJ. He’s been one of the “Top 10 DJ’s Who Rule The World” by Rolling Stone, elected “Best Electronic Act” by Beatport 3 years in a row, and awarded with the Independent Music Award in 2010. His music combines various styles, with influences of hip-hop and disco roots as well as heavy noise and electro house sounds.

Neon Garden | Gorgon City is an English electronic music production duo consisting of two North London producers Kye “Foamo” Gibbon and Matt “RackNRuin” Robson-Scott. Currently, on their Kingdom tour, their music combines house and UK garage.

Circuit | Rezz (Space Mom) also known as Isabelle Rezazadeh is a Canadian DJ and record producer. She combines styles such as dubstep and techno. In less than 3 years in the industry, Rezz has easily become a must-see DJ/producer.

Quantum Valley | Dash Berlin is a Dutch electronic music group created in 2007 by Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn. Dash Berlin is known for releasing music in the Trance and Progressive house genres. I have seen Dash Berlin more times then I can count on my fingers but they continue to surprise me over the years.

Basspod | Black Tiger Sex Machine often abbreviated as BTSM, are a Canadian electronic music trio. BTSM puts on a unique production with their state of the art LED helmets. This is a show you won’t want to miss.

Wasteland | Wasted Penguinz are a hardstyle duo from Sweden that is currently on the rise. The duo began producing together in 2008 after meeting on a message board years before. This is the only artist on this list I have not yet seen before, so I am most excited for this set.

Stereo Bloom | Dr. Fresch, also known as Tony Fresch doesn’t only have fresh hair but also fresh beats. He calls his music deep and groovy and that’s exactly what it is. I love to sing and dance my heart out every time I see him perform. I recently missed his Seattle show so he is a must-see for my first EDC.

See Ya Soon!
