DJ Harvey is set to make his only UK appearance of 2026 this summer with a landmark performance at Ministry of Sound. Taking place on August 22 as part of the club’s 35th anniversary celebrations, the event will also mark the long-awaited return of the legendary Rulin party series for the first time in more than a decade.
Deeply intertwined with both Ministry of Sound’s history and DJ Harvey’s own legacy, Rulin became one of the defining club nights of the 1990s. Originally launched during the height of London’s underground club explosion, the Saturday night institution developed a devoted following through its boundary-pushing musical identity, eclectic crowds, and free-spirited atmosphere. With DJ Harvey serving as a central resident, the night helped shape the sound and attitude of a generation of club culture in the city.
“It’s been 35 years since Rulin MoS was launched and I was one of its resident DJs,” said DJ Harvey. “To celebrate, for one weekend only we’re bringing it back. I’ve been given the keys to the club and partnered with Ministry of Sound and Rulin’s original founder. Together we’ve put together an incredible lineup, some DJs that played Rulin way back when and others that embody the free spirit and sound of Rulin today. I’m playing an open-to-close set in The Box and cannot wait. In 35 years time you won’t wanna say you weren’t there, trust me!”
Over the years, DJ Harvey has become one of dance music’s most revered and enigmatic figures, celebrated for marathon DJ sets that effortlessly move between disco, psychedelic rock, acid house, techno, Balearic grooves, and obscure global sounds. His approach to DJing — deeply rooted in crate-digging culture and decades immersed in underground scenes worldwide — has earned him near-mythical status among club audiences and selectors alike.
The return of Rulin also serves as a nod to a formative chapter in Harvey’s career. His original residency at Ministry of Sound helped establish the genre-defying style and hedonistic energy that would later define his global reputation. Decades later, the night remains one of the most influential eras in the club’s history and a touchstone for London dance culture.

“It’s an honour to welcome back DJ Harvey for the return of Rulin,” said Matt Long, Club Director at Ministry of Sound. “Three decades later, we’re back where it all started, in the newly renovated space. There’s no better way to celebrate the club’s history.”
The August event will mark DJ Harvey’s first appearance at Ministry of Sound since 2019 and his first London performance in more than a year, bringing together three enduring pillars of global dance music culture — DJ Harvey, Rulin, and Ministry of Sound — for one historic night.
