Dirtybird and Another Planet Entertainment have unveiled the lineup for the third annual ‘Back To Baysics’ free concert, taking place Saturday, June 13 at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco. This year’s edition will feature Justin Jay, J. Phlip, Kevin Knapp, and Mat.Joe, bringing together a mix of longtime label favorites for a daytime celebration rooted in the city’s electronic music culture.
Returning as a free, all-ages open-air event overlooking the Bay, ‘Back To Baysics’ continues to transform downtown San Francisco into a communal dancefloor. Since its launch in 2024, the series has grown into a key part of Dirtybird’s annual programming, drawing thousands of attendees and reinforcing the label’s long-standing connection to its hometown scene.
The 2026 lineup highlights the full spectrum of the Dirtybird ecosystem, pairing core label figures such as Kevin Knapp and J. Phlip with artists like Justin Jay and Mat.Joe, who have evolved from early contributors into established Dirtybird Players. The event emphasizes both legacy and evolution within the imprint’s house and techno identity.
Beyond the music, ‘Back To Baysics’ will serve as the official kickoff to Dirtybird Flight Week, which runs June 13–21 across San Francisco. The week-long program combines a writing camp with curated events centered on collaboration, creativity, wellness, and community. Last year’s inaugural camp produced a full year of releases, culminating in the upcoming compilation ‘Flight Week Vol. 1’, set for release June 12 and setting the tone for this year’s edition.
