DHB Festival Portugal welcomed around 6,000 people to Costa da Caparica for its fourth edition on September 18–19, bringing two days of house, organic, and minimal sounds to a beachfront setting just south of Lisbon.
Built directly on the beach, this year’s festival offered a relaxed alternative to the traditional festival experience, pairing a carefully curated music program with the natural pace and atmosphere of Portugal’s Atlantic coastline. Across the weekend, attendees experienced two beach parties, two after-parties, and a closing session featuring artists from the DHB Records family, with more than 20 artists performing across five events.
Friday opened with a groove-driven lineup featuring Beltran, acclaimed selectors Carlita and Rafael, and UK tech-house favorite Josh Baker. Oxhalá, Mehdi, Rafael, and Rome also joined the day’s programming, bringing a range of house-driven sounds to the beachfront.
Saturday shifted toward organic and minimal sounds, with pioneering cult figure Luciano, Bedouin, and Ahmed Spins leading the lineup. Rooléh, Saraga, and Just Kelly joined them as the festival continued through another day of music along the Atlantic.
The beach itself remained central to the experience throughout the weekend. With the entire production built directly on the sand, the Atlantic Ocean provided a constant backdrop as attendees moved between the dancefloor and the festival’s additional spaces. Two sunsets marked the end of each festival day, while a food court, shop area, tattoo and massage services, and dedicated chill-out areas gave guests places to step away from the music.
That combination created an intimate open-air environment where the music, coastline, and wider festival experience could exist alongside one another without losing the close-knit atmosphere that has become part of DHB Portugal’s identity.
Produced by Lisbon-based creative agency As We Are Events and presented by the team behind Deep House Bible and DHB Records, the fourth edition continued the festival’s focus on bringing international and Portuguese artists together in distinctive locations.
For DHB Festival Portugal, Costa da Caparica once again provided a setting that complemented the project’s musical identity. Rather than separating the festival from its surroundings, the beach and Atlantic coastline became part of the experience itself.
