Deep Dish Returns After Decade-Long Hiatus With New Residencies and Classic Revamps

by Press Release

Iconic electronic music duo Deep Dish, consisting of Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, have officially ended their ten-year break with the announcement of residencies in New York and London and fresh versions of their beloved tracks, ‘Flashdance’ and ‘Say Hello’. Today marks the release of the Deep Dish Guitar Redux Remix of ‘Flashdance,’ via Armada Music, the first of several reimagined tracks set to drop.

As they step into their next phase, Deep Dish have returned to the studio for the first time in a decade to breathe new life into their classics. Twenty years after the original release of ‘Flashdance,’ a crossover hit that topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and reached #3 in the UK, the Guitar Redux Remix brings a nostalgic yet contemporary spin. While the remix maintains the signature bassline that fans remember, it adds fresh, suspense-filled production to elevate the track for today’s dancefloors.

Reflecting on their reunion, Deep Dish shared, “It’s been incredible to be back in the studio together. We couldn’t be happier with the new updates to ‘Flashdance’ and ‘Say Hello,’ which reflect our collective creativity and where our sound is headed. After years of establishing our solo careers, we’re ready to bring a new chapter of Deep Dish to life, with love and respect for the originals.”

In addition to these exciting new releases, Deep Dish will hold intimate residencies in London and New York this winter, key cities that have been pivotal to their career. These exclusive shows will give the duo a chance to road-test their new material in close settings with dedicated fans. “We can’t wait to reunite with audiences around the world and test out our new music,” the duo added.

Deep Dish has also partnered with Purple Wall for management and joined forces with CAA agents Mac Clark, Roman Trystram, Julian Teixeira, Kal Jhugro, and Evan Greenberg. This follows their collaboration with Armada Music earlier this year, which saw their critically acclaimed album ‘George Is On’ re-released across digital platforms.

Donal McCarthy, Artist Manager at Purple Wall, expressed his excitement, saying, “I’ve been a fan of Deep Dish for years. To be part of their journey now is a huge honor, and I’m thrilled for what’s to come.”

The Deep Dish Guitar Redux Remix of ‘Flashdance’ is available now on Armada Music. Stay tuned for more updates as Deep Dish continue their highly anticipated return to the music scene.
