Arlo Parks returns with her critically acclaimed new album ‘Ambiguous Desire’, out now via Transgressive Records. The 12-track project stands as her most vulnerable and euphoric body of work to date, capturing a deeply personal yet expansive evolution in her sound and storytelling.

Crafted alongside producer Baird, with additional contributions from Paul Epworth, Buddy Ross, and Andrew Sarlo, the album also features a collaboration with Sampha. Together, the team helps usher in a more intuitive and vibrant era for Arlo Parks, where sonic experimentation meets emotional clarity.

Inspired by late-night dancefloors across Los Angeles, New York, and London, ‘Ambiguous Desire’ draws from immersive club environments—whether under strobe lights in LA, beneath the K Bridge in Greenpoint, or inside intimate venues like Venue MOT. These nocturnal spaces serve as the emotional and sonic backbone of the record, shaping its atmosphere and sense of freedom.

To celebrate the release, Arlo Parks has embarked on a run of sold-out intimate UK record store performances, offering fans a rare up-close experience. She will also host a DJ event at Palais on April 23 alongside Lil Silva, Oscar Farrell, and Sherelle, before joining David Byrne for a special performance in Ireland this June.

A global headline tour will follow, with North American dates kicking off in August, including stops in Washington, D.C., Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York, signaling another major chapter in her international rise.

Over the past two years, Arlo Parks has immersed herself in underground nightlife, drawing inspiration from the queer hedonism of NYC’s Paradise Garage, the moody textures of Burial and The Streets, the synth-driven euphoria of LCD Soundsystem, and the deep house grooves of Theo Parrish. The result is a record that trades traditional live instrumentation for modular synths, Ableton, and samplers—capturing the kinetic energy of the spaces that inspired it while maintaining her signature poetic voice.

Reflecting on the album, Arlo Parks shared, “This record has desire at its center. Desire is a life force—it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and human.”

The album includes standout singles “Get Go”, “Heaven”, and “2SIDED”, alongside focus track “Beams”, all of which have already garnered widespread support. Recent highlights include a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, playlist placements across BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music, and a curated mix on NTS Radio.

She has collaborated across the industry, including contributing as a writer on Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning album ‘Cowboy Carter’, and has performed on global stages such as Glastonbury and Coachella, as well as touring alongside Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

With ‘Ambiguous Desire’, Arlo Parks steps confidently into a new creative era—one defined by exploration, emotional depth, and the transformative power of music shaped on the dancefloor.
